    JoeyV Welcome to Detailing

This car belongs to one of the executives at ManWin. While that name might not ring a bell, these ones surely will: PlayBoy, Brazzers, Reality Kings, YouPorn, RedTube, PornHub etc., etc.,etc. ManWin is the company that hosts and manages all these websites, here in Montreal.

This is his "toy" and he just piked it up from the dealer second hand and wanted it to be brought back to mint condition. Enjoy.

I started with the engine bay, which really wasn't that dirty. A quick wipe down with APC and then I dressed it.

Then I moved on to the interior which was not bad. I extracted the carpets, cleaned and dressed all trims and plactics. The seats were cleaned and treated with AutoGlym leather Cleaner and Balm, and windows were done with Invisible glass.

And on to the outside. Foam bath first.

    Iron-X leaking from the wheels.

Then a proper wash of said wheels.

One the car was washed, it was decontaminated with Iron-X and clayed. There really wasn't much as you can see by the clay bar. This is everything that was on the car.

Once it was all decontaminated, another degreasing wash to see what was underneath all that.

Doesn't look too bad from far...

...but up close. :yikes: Take a look at the "Truth"

Checking a few spots with an LED light.

I then taped up the car and got ready to polish.

As usual, I drew my line down the middle of the trunk for the test panel.

After a single quick compound pass with #105 on white. Already seeing significant results.

I finally decided to go with a good compound pass with #105 on white and polish off at the end with #205 on black.

Here are a few before and afters of the same spots, with only compounding.

Based on what Ken has once said to me in the past, my goal when polishing a car is to get it looking like it's waxed...before it even gets waxed. This was the final result after all the polishing was finished and before the paint was cleaned/sterilized.

    BAM!

    Sterilization.

    Results before wax.

I went with Black Fire Wet Diamond for a base protection since this is a car that doesn't see the road often and I wanted a deep gloss to it.

    Time for the final step.

And the final shots. I could not bring the car outside for better lighting and pictures since it's Igloo season now.

Finally, a nice idea a stole from someone here! ;) Client asked for something to ward off dealership washes and their infamous DISO.

Wow....that car was hammered. Nice job.
You mentioned his car does not see the road that often......

Was the garage washing his car that caused that damage? Seems like brake dust build up came from driving it, no?

Either way, very nice job. The car is bad ass.

Sweetness Joey! I want some of those signs to ward off dealership DIDO (defects instead of scratches)
Let me know where to get them or get them done ;)

Very nice work, that thing was haggard!

PS: am I the only one who thinks the green tape on the black paint looked awesome?

    Thanks guys.
He doesn't drive it that often, but since this is a second hand car, the previous owner did and caused most of the damage. Also, all that dust is from sitting in a dusty underground parking lot.

I can't remember who it was who made the original, but I simply saved the image and changed the logo to mine. Think it might have been AutoObsessed, but I'm not sure. I can just send you a jpg of mine and you can modify it to have your logo. I print them at home, fold and glue them, then have Staples laminate them for me.

    ^^
No, you're not, the owner came down and said it looked like I gave it a GT3 RS decal job. lol.
