I am liking this :druling:, new 8 speed auto should make a big impovement over the 5 spd auto 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 revealed
I am torn on it...We had a 2006 SRT8 and loved it...2006 Commander Limited also loved it...2007 Grand Cherokee Limited also loved it...And now a 2011 Grand Cherokee Limited that we are falling in love with...The new 2014 lights just are hurting it for me but maybe the 2014 will grow on me
Reliabilty has greatly improved over the last few years. I am considering a Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep product for my next vehicle and have never owned or leased one.
Not gonna lie, I am not a fan of MOPAR until the last couple of years, the new SRT stuff is pretty sick. I like the new 300C and Charger. The GC rounds it out. WIth exception to the mustang, the other two domestic companies sort have dropped the ball IMO CTS-V stuff is pushing it.
Bought a new 2009 Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4, trail rated, Hemi, and its been great! All I have done is put on a custom 3" cat back exhaust with only 1 muffler and a 4" stainless tip coming out the back as there is no way to make dual exhausts on this model, and it looks great and sounds great. Brilliant Black Crystal paint. DF
This is so true...We have never had issues with our jeeps but all cars between we have had issues with...
I have a 2010 GC Laredo with the 3.7L V6 and have not had any issues to date, knock on wood, and I have 64K miles on it. Just regular maintenance and making sure the T-Case and differential fluids are looking good keeps it hummin. My dad had two Jeeps prior and they never gave trouble. My only regret is not getting the Hemi, the 3.7 has to work so hard to push all that weight around. Still great though. I had heard of reliability issues prior to my purchase so I can understand the hesitation, but I think Jeep is on its way with a consistently reliable product. Some guys on the Jeep forums are taking their WK's to well over 200K miles with normal wear and tear. I wonder what the new gearbox will do, at all, for fuel economy.
I think alot of the issues came from the 4.7 V8 they tossed out...The 4.0 is one of the most solid engines ever produced bar none...The 5.7 gives no issues either as far as I have seen and I have had (3) 5.7 and (1) 6.1
