This is my first time posting on here, but I figured I would toss a picture on here of what I just finished. Long story short, the wife under estimated her distance to an immovable object and did quite a number on the back of her '07 Civic DD. Luckily it wasn't my Audi, but I take care of hers just the same so my OCD kicked in and I had to fix it. I did a three step of the area since I just did the entire car with Menzerna PF2500, PO85RD and Finishing Glaze then topped off with Wolf's HB. I used PF2500 with a LC orange, PO85RD with LC constant pressure white and the Menzerna glaze with a blue then topped it with another coat of HB. Although it isn't perfect, I think it came out pretty good for what the starting point was. Here's the before shots: And the after with the final coat of glaze just applied: And the final product after a full wash and HB:
Looks pretty nice although you may have an issue with the HB as it's meant to go on clean paint with nothing under it. I'm not sure how well it's going to bond to the glaze.
You're absolutely correct and I was a little unsure of that, but the rest of the car has held up well so far. I really like the look that the glaze gives the cheap Honda paint, so this will be an experiment into the durability of the HB, if nothing else.
