What do you guys think about this model? I have always been a Corvette fan, but I'm not excited about this model. It looks like it has a Ferrari front end with a modified Camaro back-end.

Would love to hear you thoughts regarding this C7.

    TIA,
    Gianni

:wicked: Well, everything now is just speculation and it's hard to discern whether the recent 3D CAD drawings are the real deal. The mules used can hide a lot both inside and out because you do not know what aspect of the vehicle they might be testing. The only druthers I have are the Camaro-ish taillights that everyone is speculating on; I just like the round taillights on a Corvette. However, the interior is still the biggest sticking point of "WTF" for the present generation Vette and to me that's GM biggest hurdle with this next generation.

those renderings are just god-awful terrible! it looks like a camaro, ferrari, gtr and brz all at once in a way... :-/

It just looks like total ass. Camaro/farrari/BRZ turned into one gigantic rolling turd

Rear end is a total disaster. Seeing a technical manual of this car though, its not far off... and thats sad.

If the people that do the renderings could really guess that well at what the cars were going to look like and create a great looking finished product I'd think they'd be designing cars. How often have you looked at a production car and just couldn't pick out exactly what it was about it that was wrong or what it was that made it all come together.

The smallest change to a line on a car or a trim detail can make it come together or fall apart. I'd think even if the renderings are close it would be so easy for them to look completely awful because there are a lot of lines and details that can all be off making the whole look completely wrong.

I'm hoping it was the one doing the drawing of it that used what they had in their head from the way other cars look to complete the rendering and it will have its own identity when it really comes out.

they need to step up their game. Corvette's all keep looking alike which is piss poor borring! That looks ok accept for i agree with everyone else as it just looks like they took multiple other cars and slapped it together

Looking forward to seeing it. But I hope the GTR and other design influences are less pronounced. GM has worked hard on this and it should have an identity of its own.

The C6 met with a lot of uncertainty initially but has grown on most....(assuming you like vettes) and I'd wager the same will happen here.

I used to work for GM when the C6 came out and I was able to see prototypes way before final production. The final production tweaks were really minor, so I'm afraid that this generation will be no different. GM knows that the stakes are always high for the next Corvette, so I hope it doesn't look like that. I can live with the front end, but the back is hideous.

Well...we all knew this video would inevitably be dubbed to reflect the new Corvette:

I want to see the new Mustang get developed, looks like a bastardization of a Aston and a Jag

I agree. I hope the renderings aren't true to life.
