Af Rejuvenate seems like a very promising product and I'm looking forward to purchasing to possibly replace prima amigo but have some questions before I do and hoping fellow DB members could chime in. Af Rejuvenate is a pre-wax cleanser with more cutting ability than filling ability as stated by auto finesse themselves. My questions is, can I go straight to toping with Menzerna Powerlock or Tough Coat. I know they make a tough coat prep but I'm afraid that it doesn't have the same cut as it does to its brother, AF Rejuvenate. There aren't any reviews or product showcases on tough coat prep. I've seen other members apply tough coat over af rejuvenate but does this diminish durability in any way? Should I just stick to using amigo and following with powerlock? Should I stick to using a wax with af rejuvenate? Maybe Phil can help on this one....

From what I understand and personal experience, rejuvenate us a great (and easy) pre wax cleanser for carnaubas only. I have found that tough prep before a sealant is ideal in comparison to rejuvenate. I actually just tough prep / tough coated my car this afternoon!

Thanks for your help! So after using tough prep, you would say it cleaned the paint ideally to the af rejuvenate product showcase pictures? If that's the case, I might as well go for tough prep.

did you apply by hand or machine tough prep/coat, about to perform a correction myself using prep/coat so just interested in if it was done by machine what pad combo was used :)

AF Tripple is what you want :) good for sealants n waxes, same cut as AF RJ, but not much cleaning power..thats all.

I applied by hand with the AF double density applicators. Worked very well. I have not tried it with a DA yet. As with above post, tripple works very well also. I just tend to use what is prescribed by the manufacturer, but you can't go wrong with either. Tough prep was specifically designed as a pre sealant cleanser though.
