Hard to say from the pics. But it looks like the clear in failing to adhere to the carbon fiber.. and the last pic looks like it just needs to be corrected.. What company makes the panels?

Carbon Fiber has a gel coat on it that constantly hazes over if not corrected and immediately protected. Best bet would be polish it and apply opti-coat. Or polish it and have a body shop clear coat it.

You can fix the clear but not the yellowing once it turns yellow kind done. Where do you live at?

Yuma, Arizona... The last pic used to have sticker on the carbon. Took it off to show how big a difference there is between what is happening and where it used to be. And Seibon makes the carbon components.

Would adams hand polish correct this? This is a friend of mines car, he doesn't know jack about taking care of a car, I'm kind of afraid he's already ruined it.

Used that polish renu it er whatever that you only have to polish once a year, then he tried all kinds of cleaners (some are extremely harsh). So lets just assume its wasted.

where can i find this opticoat? I posted this because now I'm paranoid about taking care of my carbon fiber spoiler.

This is my spoiler. Please Please link me to the best prodcuts to take care of my baby. The spoiler was 250$, i spent another 300$ getting it painted. I want to make sure the carbon stays as fresh as my paint does.

Opti-Coat can be found in any of the forum vendors web sites. Nice RX-7 BTW :) I always liked the 99+ spec adjustable wing.

So pretty much its polish and opti-coat. Other wise its back to a paint shop?

You serious?! In that pic I could have sworn it was an RX-7...The sahpe of the wing, the back glass, even the edge of the tail lights is all extremely similar! Look.

Pretty much, but it's going to need to be sanded to remove the oxidation before getting new clear anyways.

I would prefer to have carbon fiber clear coated at a body shop, but I suppose OC is the next best thing.

The big thing under the window that said eclipse sort of gave it away for me.

Honestly, I thought it was because he had a big Eclipse sound system hahaha. My bad. But you can't deny the resemblance between both cars...and since I have an RX-7 sitting in my garage,I'm much more familiar with that shape and it's easy to understand why I'd go there :p

Awesome! So now all you need is to apply some protection when you're done.

Not really. It will help, but won't last very long. That's why we mentioned using Opti-Coat for permanent protection
