Anyone try this? Not to compare with turtle wax black box, but Im guessing its the same idea but a better product.............

I am interested in it, and for 98.00 you get the product, black light two applicators and some towels. That is a decent deal.

Sadly I do not own a black car.......

    Waiting for reviews.

i really want to try it but like you i no longer have a black car and i cant justify spending that on a wax for customers cars until i hear a longevity report

Despite having a white car, I will be buying this :D

I have been giving paste waxes more and more attention lately and recently started working on collecting them. Not that I am saying I can "clearly" tell the difference between different waxes, I'm just having a fun time with them. Most customers prefer sealants for durability.

I've been messing around with a combo of; 1 coat of Blacklight, 2 coats of Lava, topped with V7. Looks great and products are easy to use. Definitely does make paint flake pop a bit.

My buddy just bought a black suburban and I have been brainwashing him about detailing so this will be a perfect candidate.

Wonder how this compares of Naviwax Dark.

Would the car really need to be black? I have a dark blue car I might be able to try it on.

Is this a wax that has some more "glaze" properties perhaps?

that is what I am thinking............. I don't like comparing products, but I have a sneaking suspicion its packed with fillers. again, I don't want to compare, but it sounds like the turtle wax black box, which I have seen used and actually has some surprising results for those who do not wish to correct their car.

I think this new wax plus backlight will make a black car look pretty damn good. The fact that they put black light in the same deal makes me believe that the wax has filler properties as well for some reason

    Are fillers a bad thing?

I haven't used the product, so I can't say if it does or not.

In my base detailing package, a glaze because not everyone wants to pay for a paint correction, but they want the car to look good (or at least better than it was previously). I make sure to inform them about what a glaze does and that it is a temporary "fix". Customers that cant afford correction jobs are pretty understandable and know what to expect.

But, if the car does receive a paint correction, then what is wrong with using a wax that contains fillers? It's not like swirls will appear after the wax has run its course. I think Bob mentioned something about this regarding Lava. I just don't see "fillers" as being a negative term. They have their place in the detailing market

No, I don't think fillers are bad.......most waxes have them, or fill to some extent. Honestly I could care less, I know some people here will freak out and beg jesus why they do that, but in reality for a DD car, or a car that someone doesn't give a crap about correction, this or any wax that has fillers is a great solution.

Again, I don't know about this product, I have not used it. I actually want too, because I bet it would work on a dark grey car just as well as black. The wax could be tinted too, who knows.

I agree, not everyone wants to pay for correction and that is fine. I wouldn't pay for if it was a car I drive daily.

(I wasn't bad mouthing fillers in my last post FYI)

My interest in CG's products has lessened as of late. Anyone want a bottle of BL?

There are times when doing IPA wipedowns and the like get silly, not sure how this "Black wax" would be better as clearcoat is uhm clear paint over pigmented basecoat.

Lava get's a bad rap, I did not experience 'Luminous glow infusion" lol but the finish had a deep clear look when applied and removed. Fillers in cheapo products should be frowned upon, but if the finish is prepared properly then there is no issue imo as the only issue is when you are delivering and promising a "Finished/corrected" paint finish and charging for that when that was not the case.

i wanted to experience the "Luminous glow infusion", but I don't want to get busted for possession.............

Oh you are talking about the wax LOL

Yeah, the whole pigmented thing is sort of "as seen on tv" if you ask me....... but still interested, but not for 75.00

I am still stuck on the texture honestly...

I bought into Lava and at this point I am not sure if I like it at all honestly...I prefer my fuzion or pinnacle signature series II over it so far...I bought in BL when it first came out and felt it was just a disappointment and if I was looking for a glaze I would have just used poorboys...

I have asked a few places about the similarities between lava and black and have been told there are none as one is a "paste" and the other "soft"...

Leaves me wondering if this is more smoke and mirrors

This is how ive felt from the beginning, ive spoken with Greg (the CG youtube guy) about black and he says it looks amazing on black cars, but he would say that lol. I cant get over the consistency, its so liquidy, IMO they should have packed it full of polymers, Called it JetBlackSeal and marketed it as a 16oz sealant for dark colored cars. How much actual wax is in the product if its not hard at room temp?

That being said, i recently did a recent review on some CG polishes that got CGs attention, so not only are they featuring my review on their Youtube page, but also on CG.com, they are also sending me something as a thank you and they want me to review it as well, all i know is that its a wax, idk what wax, but i suspect its BLACK since its new and my mustang is black.

If thats what it is ill be sure to post a review for you OP.

I got my jar of it last week. It has the look and consistency of axle grease but smells like strawberries. It's so much like a liquid, its ease of use would benefit from putting it in a bottle and squeezing it on to a pad... It looks eerily similar to Adams Machine super wax

Exactly what i was thinking, its so liquidy, in order to get a nice thin coat without wasting product a DA application would be my first choice.

I guess you can just scoop some out of the pot and put in on the pad lol.
