Recently have been busy with school and December is a exam swamped month. It has been getting cold, but I have been getting quite a few business requests for people wanting to get their car detailed. On the side note, I have pretty much stopped marketing on forums which means that people are talking. I'd hate to deny business...

    1. Its getting cold
    2. I don't have a heated location
    3. I am a student

So my question is this to those who have some downtime, how do you get your clients to hold up until after winter?

They don't. They bug until I detail their car. Some paint correction work can wait though, it is easy to move that to spring

Its pretty much a few paintwork corrections I have on the "waitlist". Just wondering what can sway them to hold up?

I do mostly interior work during winter and tell my customers to hold off on paint correction till spring. When spring comes I'm swamped in paint correction.

I have Clients that unfortunately, wait until Fall and Winter to think about getting their vehicles Detailed, and really want to have their paint cleaned and protected for the Winter. I am not about to tell them to wait, as I know how I would feel if someone told me that.

It is a genuine pain to have to work year around, but it is still mild enough now to be able to do it, so I do.

Once the water freezes in the hose outside, that is usually when I will have to start slowing it down a little.
I can and have hooked up my hose to my Laundry Room Tub faucet and then I have the luxury of using warm to hot water outside, and it really helps keep your fingers from freezing too badly.

Im thinking the year I spent with the USAF at the top of the world during the Cold War, where the temps got to -84 deg. below 0 helped me realize how really cold, cold is. It was so cold that when the temps got all the way up to 0 degrees, we went outside in shorts and Tshirts because it was hot outside.. The vehicle of choice to get around was Dodge Power Wagon 4x4 with chains on all 4 wheels, you plugged them in at night to turn on the block heaters, and you never shut them off..

The Aurora Borealis up there was something that I cannot even fully describe - it was so beautiful. You felt that you could reach out and touch it. It filled the entire sky for as far as you could see, when the skies were clear.

Yeah, I know, I dont know either how I survived that ordeal.. :)
