Hey guys, Can you recommend a wheel sealant or wax that would be suitable to use on wheels that have a factory matte/flat finish. Specifically, these wheels have a matte black center and I don't want to use a regular wax that will make it glossy looking. Looking for an affordable product under $100 if possible.
Does it really? Hmm... well I have a bunch of that, just didn't think it would be the product to use. I don't want the sealant adding any gloss or shine to the wheels and I'm afraid the collinite would do just that.
Try on small area and if u don't Luke it IPA it. I tried on flat black truck and it made paint bit darker but not shiny
Thanks, I'll try that. I guess since the wheels are going to be off, I'll try on the back side of the faces that are the same finish.
I saw that while doing a Google search. But has anyone actually had first hand experience with it? What the durability like?
It's been a little while since I made this thread, are there any new sealants on the market for flat black surfaces?
On my matte black wheels I used Opti-Coat and did not change the finish wany Before Coating: After: Picture may show them as glossy, before I learned how to take decent pictures, but it is a satin/matte finish and did not change the cool of it any. I would recommend it without hesitation on wheels. I will be applying GTech ExoV2 soon as well.
