I bought my sheepskin wash mitt from Detailed Image about a year and a half ago, and it's started to fall apart...pieces of the mitt are falling off and there's holes in it. I took care of it per the directions, but there may have been a few times where it was left wet longer than it should have. I was just wondering if there's a good wash mitt that's not sheepskin, that may be a bit more hard wearing. I noticed that Advance Auto Parts has picked up Griot's products, and they have their wash mitts there. Are they any good? Thanks! Clark
Hey Clark - You know, I have tried a zillion wash mitts including all those fancy ones and the one I use the most is the either blue or orange colored chenille wash mitts they sell at Target. They are good size, you can put your hand inside them if you want to use it that way, the thick chenille fibers don't shed or get weird, and the mitt holds a lot of soap. It also doesnt really scratch my black Grand Cherokee either.. Dan F
ADAMS wash pads are the way to go. small and large. i've used sea sponges, sheepskin mitts and then tried Adams,,, never looked back.
Uber yellow sponge with the right shampoo is killer, economical and easiest to use against a grit guard to ensure no debris hits your paint.
Meguiar's MF wash mitts are great, Zymol/Uber are awesome sponges, and the Griot's chenille aren't bad, a bit too big for me though.
Can the Megs MF wash mitt be purchased OTC (and if so, where), or would I need to order one online? With everyone talking about it it seems like a good choice.
The Megs mitts are great value. They last a long time and are under $10. Smokin deal. I think you need to get them online.
I prefer the noodle MF Mitt, i find them reaching into gaps far better than others. They are also cheap and extremely durable.
