Hey all, this is a follow up to a thread I started asking about the safety of Meguiar's microfiber wash mitt

Well, I have purchased several of them, and after testing them out for the last few weeks, I am throwing out every other wash mitt I have that's not a meguiar's microfiber wash mitt. This mitt has just stunned me. I have been a detailing enthusiast for about 6 years now, and I regret every single car wash up to this point lol. I can't begin to say how satisfied I am with the meguiars MF mitt.

Some things I really like about it:

    - Holds a lot of soap solution

    - Doesn't "drain" water quickly (holds onto the soap solution longer than wool wash mitts)- ***my favorite quality*** because this means the mitt stay lubricated better and longer throughout a panel cleaning, which in turn aids better in preventing wash induced marring. I was actually surprised at how well it held soap, it held soap as well as the dread lock style mitts do.

    - Excellent tactical qualities (non dread lock style makes for increased contouring ability to the moldings of modern bumpers and body work). I much prefer it's "flat" construction over the dread lock style for this reason. It makes contouring to details of bodywork easier, and helps you to better keep track mentally of where you've cleaned thoroughly and haven't yet. So, you're less likely to miss dirt during the wash process.

    - Softness is excellent (esp once saturated with soap solution)

    - Large size helps to reduce wash time

    - White color is amazing for analyzing the dirtiness of the mitt after washing each panel/ easy to spot if you got something caught in the mitt. Again, safety!

I tested it out on my carbon black M3 which is 100% defect free, and afterwards I inspected the entire car under LED light and sunlight the following day, and no marring was indicated under either light source.

I paired it up with my favorite soap, which is Meguiar's Shampoo Plus, and I just had the most enjoyable wash experience I've had to date!

If any of you are on the fence as I was about this product and whether to purchase it, DO IT!

Thanks to Kevin Brown for discussing this product with me and to Meguiar's for making the greatest wash mitt I have ever used!

I have never use a Meg MF washmitt but I believe it is very good, it is the only wash mitt that Ken recommend and sell in his store.
It is cheaper than those thick wool ones too.

Yep, I knew if Ken used it I would be ok to try it on my finish. Can't miss this mitt guys! Not one mitt out there that compares I've tried them all.... schmitt, genuine lambswool, all other types of mf, none of them even come close to this one!

I have several MF mitts from PAC (out of business) and PakShak. I have used them for rinseless washes. I had been looking to get a few of Meguiars to try.

I have about 5 washmitts from Meguiars and two waschpudels from Swissvax. My fav is def the Meguiars mitt, I also miss the old version which had chenille MF.

I have a bunch of these mitts. I highly prefer them over sheepskin and chenille style mitts. I'm indifferent though if you compare a Zymol sponge to this. Both are in my to go for wash media.

Why would you use a wash mitt for waterless wash?
