Finally was able to get my hands on the newest offering from Porsche as some of my clients are taking delivery, fit and finish on these vehicles is superb and this vehicle needed hardly anything except wash/slight decon and fine polishing with protection. As the vehicle came in. Bug residue. As the vehicle was getting clearfilm, I removed the factory piece as a long full rocker custom piece was being installed. Some dirt and hard water etch to deal with. Some CG water spot remover was utilized. Polishing steps carried out. Backlighting the glass to make sure everything was cleaned. Vehicle was sharing space with some nice British Iron........................ Bentley Flying Spur Speed. Wheels now "As new". As mentioned before , the paint on these new Porsches is much improved. There is still orange peel but not as much as the previous 997 Gen 1 vehicles. Espresso for the interior color range, some have said the interior is not "911 like" and too sterile ............... maybe but the quality is evident especially with the Burgmiester audio system this 991 has. Sun pics.
Looks sweet Bob. Glad to hear Porsche has continued on with higher quality whee most companies are getting cheap, cheap, cheap.
Nicely done Bob! Yes, it is good to hear the fit and finish quality is getting better Bmw's, not so much :shakehead:
I have a new Grand Coupe 640i coming in and when I did the estimate the fit and finish looked very much improved.
Unfortunately, the 2012 328i didn't give me that thought. Door handles moved side to side and the paint measured 77mils - 120mils.
looking good Bob! the interior colour is nice, not too dark and not too light. just right in the middle.
CG Water Spot Remover vs MarkV, which would you take? Did the espresso interior as well, much improved in my opinion! Leather is just a bit more smooth overall and can seem not as schnazy, but I think Porsche it up a notch!
