i know with my Adams shampoo and APC that if you mix the APC with the shampoo it takes the shampoo from neutral to acidic to strip the wax...can the same affect come from using meg's apc with a ph neutral soap?

Yep it can. Also you can't go wrong with completely getting rid of Adams line. I think they are way over rated. The whole Meg's pro line is very cost effective and works very well. Also dodo juice, lusso and collinite waxes are all great and reasonably priced.

i think the only thing i might be keeping is the detail spray and invisible undercarriage spray

    My votes...

Adams APC: Meg's Apc, Zep Citrus Apc, OPC
Adams Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner: An apc from above
Adams Leather and Interior Cleaner: Diluted OPC
    Adams Green Wheel Cleaner: Pass
Adams Machine Super Sealant: Colonite 845
Adams Americana: Lusso Oro, Nattys, MaxWax
Adams Invisible Undercarriage Spray: CG Bare Bones or Megs Hyper Dressing Diluted
Adams SVRT - Megs Hyper, Poorboys Natural Look, Poorboys Bold and Bright

If youre just doing mostly production work, I think your winners are Megs Hyper, Megs APC+, and Colonite 845. In theory these three could do the jobs of everything listed.

If you are doing more production work than anything else, Meguiars D151 Reconditioning Creme is a great 1 Step or perhaps 2 Times with say a White Foam Pad and a Rotary, to quickly clean up most defects in the production range, and it leaves a little wax behind. It's easy to use, smells pretty good, and doesnt really make a mess like other compounds do. It cuts so far and stops, but if you do it again, well, then it cuts again so far and stops, and always leaves a nice shiny, smooth finish.

I use a few Einszett products for plastic and leather conditioning, C/G Bare Bones for undercarriage on production vehicles, have used Meguiars Hyper Dressing, and it also works great there and under the hood on the engine and engine compartment, absolutely love Meguiars APC+ for general cleaning, Meguiars Super Degreaser for degreasing,

I use Zaino's Leather Cleaner and steam a lot, and it totally rocks, and their leather conditioner for those that like leather smell, and Spinneybeck leather conditioner for those that want to smell the leather itself without any additional smell and get great conditioning at the same time.

Totally agree that Collinite 845s or even their 476s double coat wax, totally work great again for production work and getting everyone ready for winter too. Menzerna Power Lock is also very good as well as the BlackFire products that are all new now.

I look at all the Adams products and they are probably good, and do what they say, but in a business model, where you are trying to make money for profit, and pay all huge expenses it takes to get licensed, insured, taxes, etc., their price point will never be good for me when compared to other stuff as listed here, that does at least the same, for way better savings.
Boutique products are just that - nice, but not ever going to be cost effective except perhaps at the highest levels of Detailing where you have huge amounts of high end cars and people to help move them through the process, and you have a way to write enough of this stuff off in taxes, etc...

By the way, I have NO Adams's products ! :)

Keep in mind that Adam's products may be expensive (as are many other lines) but Adam does back his product 110%. Many of his products are top notch.

I had an issue with an Americana wax container and he completely replaced the product and I used half of it. Adams customer service is top notch and that is very rare these days. Maybe keeping some of his products in your business line may be costly but if there is an issue, Adams team will provide a resolution.

In addition how many CEOs give out their cell phone numbers to customers and answer when they call? How many CEOs give out their email address and reply? How many CEOs walk customers through detailing over the phone? Adam does all of that and so does his staff of talented employees.

Adam backs American workers big time and does his best to ensure that his products come from the US when possible. He discontinued his foam gun because they lied to him and told him it was all US made when in fact parts were made in China.

I have used Adams line for years and have never been disappointed. I also use other products as well. Just wanted to give Adams some love.
