I will be detailing my aunts 03 4runner, which has severely faded grey exterior hard, porous plastic trim all over. I assume GTechniq C4 will work, but wanted to be sure. Most trim restorers, as long as not a dye, should be able to restore grey trim just as well as it does black, correct? Also, I just mentioned C4, but what would be your preferred choice for this material? Thank you!
I've been liking AF Revive a lot lately. Looks great, beads very well, and a little goes a long way. I stopped using Black Wow. I found it too difficult to deal with. It's not a bad product, but Revive is suuuuper easy
I am having issues with C4 right now on one section of my trim. It is a painted (glossy) b-pillar trim. Trying to find a way to remove it and reapply.
I don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" answer. It appears to me that it is almost luck of the draw among half a dozen products as what works great on one car will look splotchy or quickly fail on another. Nothing I have tried so far has been both reliably durable and provided consistently great looking results across a wide range of vehicle plastic and vinyl trim. How to safely completely remove products like G|t C4 or CP DLUX from textured plastic or vinyl also eludes me.
believe it or not collinite 845 has a nice look on some plastics and of course beads like crazy just like on paint.
