For those of you patiently awaiting the release of the entire Optimum Microfiber Polishing System. I have good news: We're almost finished!

    Here's what I got today:

The Cutting Pads and Polishing Pads have been revamped for top performance:

    Left: Polishing/Cutting Right: 1st GEN Polishing/Beta Cutting

Beta Cutting (top) compared to Final Cutting
    [IMG]
First GEN Polishing (top) compared to GEN II Polishing
    [IMG]
We also gave the Cutting Pads a more aggressive microfiber than we saw with the Beta pads:

The Optimum Microfiber Polishing System Backing Plates have a milled edge with no hook and loop for easy pad removal:

I'm looking forward to putting these through the paces if the rain will let up here in TN for a bit.

    Thanks for looking!

I thought the finishing pads that have been on sale were the released product? O-well, I've been happy with them so far and they have been great with Hyper Polish and a big time saver for my Opti-Guard jobs! :)

Are the optimum pads like the meguiars mf pads where it is not recommended to be used on repainted panels

We have already released polishing pads but while we were preparing/testing the cutting pads we made 'em better!

The only known issue is that on some soft paints you may need to finish with foam. And, that's a tiny fraction of the cars most detailers see. Optimum pads are DA and Rotary friendly, too.

Can't wait to give these a try and comparing them to Meg's system.

    Keep up the good work!

can these pads be used with 3m and menzerna compounds and polishes? or limited to compounds n polishes with SMAT technology like 105 205 OHP and OHC?

If I have the beta polishing pads (from AG) any difference to the regular ones in performance or issues? I just noticed all mine are the thinner ones...

They are compatable with every compound and polish I've tried. Some work better than others, but they all do what the labels say with these pads.

I still have/use the v1 pads for most of my AIO details. The face fabric on v2 finish a little better (not even noticeable on most factory finishes) and the thicker backing allows better contouring to body panel shapes...but there are no issues.
