Hard Body scrath resistance test!

One of the main questions I have is how long until Hard Body cures enough to reach full hardness. I know Opti-Coat is 3 months. Jesse can you weigh in?

 

If youre doing to take the time to do that - do it on the hood, where you can rest a controlled mass to see the objective difference.

 

run it through a tunnel wash and see how it fairs.......... that's a more real world scenario. I am sorry, but the lighter test is very county fair marketing, its not realistic at all

 

I have a black fender off a 2010 accord. it's very soft paint. do you guys want me to polish it out, put a tape line down the middle apply HB to one side and perform some sort of test and make a video of it?

The question is, how long should i wait until after application for it to harden?

Sorry for the late answer on this one, we've been swamped!

We won't do any Moh's testing with this, as I really don't see much of a point in it other than "marketing" I've used CQuartz but not any of the others. Though I don't want to compare my products to others because I feel it's a bit cheeky and I'm pretty biased anyway

Yes you can layer it!

There is a thickness to an extent, but keep in mind this is on a microscopic scale... I'm sure it can't be measured.

I wouldn't recommend topping it with anything... once you see the shine I think you'll agree that HB doesn't need any help

No you won't need to bin the towels after removing !

We recommend our nano shampoo "Nano Bathe" for best results! And our nano QD "Reparation" to "top it up"!

Yes fair play, the lighter test shows scratch resistance in one way, but I don't tend to throw lighters at my car . The coating itself ia very hard once cured and it only takes about 24 hours to cure. Our sealant is scratch resistant yes, but let us not forget that what is scratching your car is very sharp pieces of quartz... sand. HB will do a very good job at preventing scratches, but responsible washing is also needed! Wash your car gently and enjoy the results!

 

I do not doubt the product or the features and benefits....... Just a more real world test should be demonstrated and hopefully someone here will do a full write up.

Also, may I add, I see the point of Dr Oldz and Kilo6, but dang come on guys.....at least admit that the lighter test DOES SPEAK VOLUMES about the product. I wouldn't ever expect any LSP to give me a license to tunnel wash and expect no marring, but what I believe this will do is cut down dramatically on toweling marks and very fine marks that even 2BM and grit guards can't fend off on a filthy car after 6 months of weekly washes....some things you just have to be realistic about.

Jesse, I am becoming a HUGE fanboy of your products, and I would like to back you all the way on the quality of every single product you sell. Wolf's is top of the shelf for me. Body Wrap has me in a tizzy every time, and my customers just rave about it!

 

Marring is a fact of life, even with OC2 i am sure there is some marring, but the difference between plastic on paint versus say a wash mit, or in my case tree branches when I go to the mountains. Thing is people might get the wrong idea that a product will prevent marring, but then the issue of too much emphasis on marring itself is a little obsessive by some. if its a daily driver or a garage queen things will happen.

Im more concerned on how it makes washing easier where dirt and grime release easier. Not knocking the product, its the lighter test that brings back images of infomercials, colored car wax and miracle products that you can drive through a sand storm on fire and life is great on the other end.
