Requirements: Back to the basics with a deep cleaning and one step polish and wax

Exterior

- Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes
- Tires were spritzed down with Adam’s All Purpose Cleaner and washed down
- Wheel wells were cleaned up
- Washed with 1Z einszett W99
- Wolf's Decon Gel
- Wash down and rinsed
- Door jambs were cleaned up
- Nano Scrub AutoScrub
- Dried
- Tires dressed
- Masking
- Paint Measurement
- Sonax 5/5 Fine Abrasive Paste - Uber Green Pad - Griots Orbital
- 1Z einszett Glanz Wax - Uber Black Pad
- Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight
- Wheel wells were cleaned and dressed
- Rubber and Plastics Treated
- Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
- Exhaust tips cleaned
- Windows were autoscrubed, cleaned, and sealed

Interior
- Interior Vac
- Leather Cleaned/Conditioned (remove a denim stains and much more)
- Plastic - wiped down and protected

Engine
- Cleaned
- Dressed

APC on the motor and some brushing were needed to get rid of all that caked dirt and grime


Sonax 5/5 on was used by hand on the engine bay

Dirt, grime, road tar you name it, it was stuck on it.

Awesome work Phil! Even for silver it's looking SHARP. Those front lights threw me off for a bit. Looks like the new Audi even though it's the old bodystyle...

 

Phil - great work! What are you guys using on the door jams? Also would you mind sharing your exact process for door jabs? Thanks.

 

Phil I think the door jams came out nicer than the exterior paint! LOL

 

sure apc on the door jambs then agitate with a brush then rinse them out.

next polish then up with a final polish, finally throw some sealant or wax on them.

which wheel woolies are you guys getting? the Braun brush or Adam's modified version or neither?

 

we have been using the originals now for about 6 months. we will be getting the originals.

 

How do you guys rinse down the door jambs?

that's an interesting method to do it...

i can imagine using the PW on the door jamb and all the water disperses everywhere making a mess

using a garden hose is too much pressure to even rinse out the door jamb as well.

Just wanted to chime in here. When I clean the jams in the trunk area, I let the trunk down, but don't close it entirely and pressure wash from cracks. Water won't get in your trunk.
