Looking to buy some new rim cleaner. Looking for something that will take off a lot of brake bust. Washed a 2011 m5 and had some heavy dust left after cleaned the four different times. I used these products Cg diablo wheel gel and grime reaper. How dose wolfs compare to sonax? What one do you prefer?

I prefer sonax, it works better on wheels compared with wolfs IMO

Of the two, I prefer Wolfs by a long shot. But, if you still have "heavy" buildup after using the products that you mentioned, then you might need a more concentrated decontamination approach than either of those cleaners offer. If your issue is what I'm thinking it is, then it would take either of those chemicals a very long time to clean your wheels up.

I haven't tried either of those but it seems that phil has good results with them. Im going to suggest something like CarPro Trix that should help loosen up that stubborn stuff on the rims.

i don't think CG Diablo Wheel Gel is good for heavy brake dust...maybe good for maintenance cleaning

can't go wrong with either choice...Wolf's doubles as a paint decontamination as well. Sonax is only for wheels, not paint...

Sonax smells way better than IronX or Wolf decon.
I use autoglym cwc, then follow up by IronX.

I agree. Don't waste big dollar wheel cleaners on stuff easily removed by APC. Follow up with IronX or Wolfs to get the stubborn bits.

I prefer Sonax FE. Wolf's is also very good, plus you can leave it to dry.

Sonax also works on paintwork ;)

I like Wolf's better than sonax. You can leave it to dwell for quite some time and being able to apply it to the body is a plus as well.

Where are you guys buying AG CWC these days?

AG cwc from Ken, I think he is clearing out the Autoglym line so on sale now. 5L for around $3x

I just see the small bottles. Same with Amazon. Oh well, it's a great product all the same.

CWC is so great. The single AG product I wish Phil still carried. :/
