Hey guys, I originally posted this over on ModdedMustangs, and one of my fellow MM members told me to share it over here, so I figured I would! In the two videos to follow, I cover restoring headlights with the Spar Urethane Treatment. This was the first time I ever used this method, and this was also my first ever youtube video, so bare with me! Part 1 Part 2 Below
Part 2 I plan on making a more direct, straightforward, and cleaner video of this same process soon. So, stay tuned for that! Thanks for watching!
Do or don't take offense but I skipped through the whole video and the little preview window pretty much just showed you talking. So I didn't listen to you just watched the process. The urethane product works good though, I've used it countless times now.
No offense taken, I know this video is extremely long, and I plan on making a new one which is thought out, refined, and straightforward. Just the process itself! This was more of a test and discussion because it was my first time using this product. What do you use to apply the Spar Urethane and Mineral Spirits?
I love the Spar method also. I use a medical grade blue towel for my application method. Sent from my HTC Sensation using Tapatalk 2
I use a non linting shop towel cheap and disposable. The finish ends up great. The urethane really lays down good for being applied this way.
I dont know why, but I cannot find these for the life of me! All the hardware stores I've been to do not have them!
In lieu of urethane have people simply used clear film protection? It seems to me that the head lights will simply get pitted again along with the urethane eventually crazing and coming off like some of the factory head lights already exhibit.
