Why are so many people using this? Ive seen so many detailing threads lately with people using this stuff!

There was a thread titled "what to top NXT 2.0 with" I wanted to post "the lid of a trash can" but held my lip.

    LOL

I bet it's great for entry level detailers, but most of us have probably graduated from that...

The new version is supposed to be much improved over the originial. We all know the the durability of the original NXT was terrible. According to those that have tested it, V2 extremely similar to Megs #21 and a pretty decent OTC wax.

Granted its not Zymol, Lusso, or Swissvax.

I just got a bottle and have to try it out.

The old version had a nice look to it...darkened the paint and had just a nice look..but it did not last...now if this stuff has better durability and better looks..it may not be all that bad for a OTC product....it is suppose to have less claeaning also (from Mike Pennington) just enough to prep the surface for bonding...sorta like DG 105..its not a real cleaning product but cleans enough to have a surface to bond to...

Remember these products are marketed to the people who just wash and wax..no prep work...

another plus to it is it does fill light marring..so for the ones who do not want to polish right away it can be a benifit....

yes its no exotic stuff..but was not meant to be....

I got one of the Megs gift packs at WM for 14.00..so I will try it on a car..if no good..it will be used on the lawn furniture or given to some kid looking to clean his car

Al-53 my sentiments exactly. For 14 dollars it is worth it. Especially if you can buy a gift pack for that price. All the products work. admittedly some better than others. Sometimes I like to try new products to make me appreciate the tried and true products that I use and like. Sometimes these new products prove their worth. AT 14 dollars I am not out much. I was going to be polishing something anyway. Now it is protected and my time was spent having fun taking care of my vehicle.

I use it for when I polish cars at a friends used car lot on some Saturdays for him. 106FF , CCS orange pad , CCS blue pad, lay down the 2.0, let it sit for 30min, wipe off. Everybodys happy.
Like i said before, great filler wax, still crappy to get off if you dont let it dry though. I want to try CG wet glaze or EZ Creme to compare.

I have to agree with you. while it does have a descent look and may be slightly improved from the first version it is still no where near where it needs to be. With the first version I got 1 to 2 weeks tops and out of 2.0 I would be lucky to get 3 weeks. I have glazes that last that long.

easy on, easy off. Takes forever, usually 45+ minutes to pass the "swipe test" Didn't last through night of heavy rain, even after 12hours to cure. Smells great through.

In my opinion NXT looks great when its done right.

Havent had one disappointed customer yet each time I've used it.

i tried this.. i was looking for something to protect my car and this being able to very accessible..slapped it in...looked good..darkened the paint..shiny...and lasted only after 1 rain.. if they could only make it durable..

do polymers or sealants harden like carnauba? do they prevent stone chips?

No wax or sealant is going to protect you from stone chips unfortunately.
