Last weekend my boyfriend acquired a nice 1999 BMW 328i, in metallic silver. It has 127k on it so at some point this summer when I get my paint correction stuff and hone in on technique it's gonna get corrected, as there are some minor scuffs and some fading in the paint to be dealt with. For now though, I'm just trying to find a nice wax/sealant (or maybe a combo of the two) to use on it. Which of these LSP's (Or combination of them) that I own will provide the best look, as well as provide excellent durability? It will be parked outside 24/7 so durability is definitely a priority. I have... Autoglym HD Collinite 845 Zymol Carbon P21S carnuba Menzerna Powerlock Zymol Cleaner wax Meguiars Gold Class Meguiars Cleaner wax As I have no power equipment yet I shall be applying the LSP by hand. On a side note, I do have some Meguiar's Ultimate Compound. If I have some spare time, do you think it would be a good idea to try to hand polish (I only have foam applicators at the moment) some of the minor scuffs out, or save that until I order some stuff for paint correction? Thanks! Clark
845 and P21s both have a "bright" look that look good on silver metallic... Powerlock is also another good one
Id say 845+Carbon or Powerlock+Carbon. I believe Carbon is "meant" for darker cars, where as Creme is meant for lighter cars, but I doubt they are very different and it work just fine
2 coats of Powerlock for what you have,if and when you do a future purchase.Pick up some Werkstatts AJT. BEAUTIFUL looks on silvers
I'd recommend Werkstat over Zaino. Werkstat Prime + 2 coats of Acrylic Jet Trigger. Zaino looks really good but only after the sixth coat or so.
