Hi Guys, A gentleman contacted me to revive the interior of his fairly new vehicle. It has less than 30,000 km's (~18600 miles) since ownership in 2007, but the interior definitely didn't show any youth. Being a family car, and having kids in the backseat, well...you know what to expect. :giggle: Here are the pics. Enjoy. opcorn: Before - Trunk After - Trunk Before - Driver Door Panel After - Driver Door Panel (Clean Door Jambs And Slick Weatherstripping) Before - Driver Foot Well Unfortunately, The Dead Pedal Is Dead, The Coating Is Peeling From The Surface The Infiniti Logo Is Almost A Big White Circle...lol Look Closely, There Are 2 Rocks Near The Corner Of The Floor Mat...Rocks?! nice job on the interior. i enjoy reading up interior jobs than polishing jobs because imo it offers a better "WOW" factor.
Sure why not, because someone is always willing to clean up your mess............. I cannot stand that mindset, my wife is like that.
I have pretty much the same G35 (mine is not S and is not AWD) and would have to say that was pretty gross...Great job cleaning it up!
Excellent save. The back seat area especially was getting dangerously close to hazmat suit territory in the before photos. I hope I never have to sit near them on a plane or in a restaurant.
what a great job! It was a few pages of pure shock, and scrolling down frantically to see the after shots so that I could breathe again. I one sense I can see the excitement when you see how dirty it starts off with, because you KNOW that it's going to look absolutely fantastic when you're done. Mind telling us what you used on the leather? You know you are cheating when you buy a new driver's floor mat right?
I think it's the kids that climb in and out and snack on food in the back seat...hehe...you know how little ones are. Thanks...every time I do a detail I always try to make a substantial difference in the before and after...thank you for the compliment thanks Haha I got to crawl around in the interior to do work...=p The wife is on my tail to detail our vehicle...oh boy! Thank you man. I like these cars, the stock exhaust note is freaking wonderful...so nice sounding. Haha, thanks man. I still don't know what the sticky items were, shouldn't even think about it. Nice one Jae! I wish I had money to buy a new floor may for the owner. But yeah, the bald spot looks weird against the cleaned mat. Leather was lexol twins and some OPC for stubborn spots. I gave the surface a swipe with some additional protectant as well. Sorry guys. Photos back up now! My photobucket exceeded and I had to wait for a monthly reset. Enjoy the pics and thanks for viewing. =)
Kids or no kids, that's just flat out gross. What a shame to see a car like that get to that point. Amazing job bringing it back to life. Could you please give a list of some of the stuff you used?
Thank you Jeff. Thank you Jumbo Jet. For the work, I used in no particular order: Lexol twins Meg's APC+ at 4:1 and 10:1 OPC at 3:1 SV leather brush SV Detail brush Carpet brush 1Z Cockpit Meg's QID Prima Clarity Ridgid shop vac 303 Aerospace Lots of MF's...I don't have any special towels...that is one area of my arsenal that I would improve on Thank you UCD. I assume the mats you are referring to? Since they can be removed, I took them out to really deep cleanse them. When doing the interior it sometimes gets messy and better to clean items outside. I didn't use a steamer, just cleaner and lots of flushing with water. Thank you Brian and Ken.
