Hey there DB, This past weekend (and throughout the week) I had the pleasure of working my magic on a very low-mileage (16,000) 2003 SVT Terminator Cobra. Thanks Franki! The paint was an interesting color, has a really intense metallic in it- paint was also surprisingly on the softer side! Going to see it again come Friday evening for a basic wash and possible an application of some CG Pete's Black Pearl to top it off, car is going to a car show for the weekend! Should pick up and award this year! - D
Car looks great but I just dont see the point in posting 20+ before shots under the halogens with no afters.
Knew I'd have someone say that- apologies if I may have "wasted your time" Here's why- cobra is getting wrapped up and the finishing touches put on when the time hits 20 hours total on this job- sun is setting and as I go to pull her out of the garage- click, click- battery dead. Threw the jump pack on her about an hour later, started her up and pulled her outside, took pics, signed invoice and client left. After dealing with the frustration of the dead battery and trying to get some pics in I realized I had forgotten to take afters before pulling the car out. After spending 20 plus hours on a very nice snake I'd figure I'd post to share on the usual forums for everyone to see. Thanks for looking! - Dan
I wasn't trying to take any shots to you at all, but I will say that I was eagerly awaiting some after shots while scrolling down lol. I know how you feel, there have been times when I finish a car as the client arrives and they pay and leave right away before I can get some good after shots.
Nice work! I did a black one of these before. Maybe the same year. The one i did had a lot of oxidation. How was yours?
Owner is 3rd master of this puppy and it only has 16k on the clock. The 2nd owner apparently owned a body shop (had me worried when I found out) but the car never gets driven in the rain or has been rained on in the 5 years he has owned it- it gets driven maybe 5 to 6 days a month. \ No oxidation, just minor swirls! Thanks for looking guys!! - Dan
Looks great, although I know with my mustang the paints rather hard. That is a really interesting colour. Can't wait to work on my brothers!
Only got to drive it thru 2nd gear back and forth to the wash bay 50 yards from my apartment but.......she moves =P
