Issue has been resolved, Subaru Canada stepped in and gave the guy a brand new car.

I wonder what they are going to do with the old one, sell it cheap? Repaint it? Con some unsuspecting fellow into buying it?

this is the way it should be..... im suprised that he did get a new car, but considering its SOC, THEY gave him a new car, not the dealer........ I guarantee you the dealer got sanctioned, probably got to eat that car.

Thats awesome to hear. I'm sure all the bad press Revscene was giving the issue helped their decision! LOL They'll just put it on the lot and sell it on a rainy day.

All it needs is a new paint job and detail from you Ken and it can be sold as pre-owned!

I couldn't even finish the first page without getting pissed myself. Plain and simple that is horrible and that is why i tell people to stay away from dealer preps. Take the car dirty and take it to a professional detailer.

I tell you what though that place would have been in the shitter and on a ride to hell if my sister inlaw was there. That car would have been fixed properly from the get go or she would have taken it back and gotten a refund. It's to bad that fellow had to go through that. Shitty Management . . . . should complain to corporate about those people.

Something similar to that happened to me recently at a tint shop I took my Mach 1 to but I corrected the damage last week. I also actually was contacted by a local Ford Dealership to correct the damages left over from there bodyshop on a 2011 Mustang 5.0 GT/CS last year, they even got paint overspray on the interior it took me 40+ hours to get it done:( Its horrible what some dealerships get away with.

I wonder if SOC will give this dealership a warning or some kind of penalty for doing this. Like a 5-10% cost increase for any car they want from Subaru.

I don't think that will happen as you might as well put them out of business. I bet they might get a fine though.

some dealers get punished with a hold back of inventory and review of their franchise/business agreement, it happened to a VW dealership locally. There were so many complaints and lawsuits they forced them to basically sell and fired everyone and started over (what I heard) dealerships don't give a shit about you or the customer in reality, but as we have seen here the parent company does care about at the very least "brand reputation" I know Subaru is very aggressive in mediating issues.........
