New Meguiars stuff at WalMart?

I was doing my routine quick scan of the car detailing products at walmart yesterday and I saw something interesting. The section where they
had the surf city garage products was all empty. This is the note they left with im guessing future products going in that shelf. Hope it happens.. Thoughts?

I don't know how I feel about Walmart carrying all this stuff. I would still make a conserted effort to purchase from our vendors unless I am in dier need and have to have something same day, something about this is doesn't feel right. Then again I haven't used meg's in ages.

 

I see this going the way of Autoglym at WalMart. Can't see a large enough market for this at WalMart. Destined to fail, IMO.


BTW, if the SCG stuff does go on clearance, I won't be surprised either.

Looks like from the pics that Wally is going to have the Meguiars PC, and microfiber pads. Wow, how did they do that ? Makes you wonder - who dumped it so that Walmart could pick it up, or did Walmart do this on their own????

The only Walmart around here is in a place where you need to carry a gun or someone there already carrying a gun might jack you up..

I agree It'll probably be like the autoglym wax. It will die out once they don't move enough.
Could be in a pinch and can't wait for something with shipping.

I'm calling there will be a thread a year from now with somebody saying go buy meguiar's products on clearance at walmart while supplies run out.

Not saying this will last long at wallmart but, the presence/strength/recognition of Megs brand in the US will afford it a higher rate of success than that of autoglym.

 

You nailed it. If, whatever it is,or isnt,happens with Meguires/Walmart? .I dont shop there, and could really care less what they sell. It will no doubt do better than Autoglym. Wheres the damn like button??
