This detail was completed last week for one of my new clients GF. Car arrived in a clean state after justing being serviced at the local Bimmer Dealership... :buffer: Although in certain lighting the paint looked decent, in the sun it was obvious it was in need of some TLC. Interior was just a little "dusty" giving me more time to focus on the exterior. A vacuum and wipe down was performed here. The wash process started with a decon of the tires and rim's. BMW is notorious for making brake pads that dust very easily. If you even look at the rims the pads will dust, THAT easy. Before moving any further it's imperative to remove any protection that might still be on the car. This is where a Citrus based shampoo is used to gently strip any residue off the paint surface ensuring proper protection adhere's later on. The paint was severely lacking gloss, since a full paint correction wasn't in the books i decided a revitalizing polish would bring out the most shine in the shortest period of working time. BlackLight was chosen and the results speak for themselves... In the sun after. LSP was applied, along with some finer details were tidied up. Sun shots Thanks for looking!
The worst color in the world. There is almost no point in doing paint correction on these since after a single washing, it'll be just as bad as it was before...
100% agree! Working on my dads Jet Black E39 M5 and no matter what towel I use, I get towel marring. I am never going to purchase a car with soft black clear because of this car..
Great job, Tim! I was always anti-Blacklight when it first came out just because no one would give you a straight answer as to what it really was. Now that I've seen some examples of what it can really do, I may have to pick some up. Kudos, that was a huge improvement!
