First time I'm really going to do anything to the car, need to know your opinion on which rims to choose and if my initial choice is ugly. Basically I'm going for a clean, OEM look but car people will still know what changes I have made but am not sure which rims to choose. Here are Honda HFP 19" rims, they look good on the coupe version of the accords, they still look moderate on the sedan version as well. And whatever my next car will be TL, TSX, 3.2 TL these fit and work with those cars as well. My car is a plain white model of the accord. These next 2 are from the 2008-2010 Accord Coupe 18" , I think these look the best but are hard to locate I will be lowering the car on springs if I decide to get rims for the car this year.
The HFP's go for $1800 in Canada but I can get them used for $900, maybe even a little cheaper if I throw in a detail barter service.
HFPs look good but honestly the offset is too high and they looked sucked in, a friend of mine has that body style and we test fit them. Check out these Vossen Wheels not too obnoxious, clean and you can get them with a proper offset and width, you can run up to a 9" even wider if you wanted too. As I get older I am less about the overtly aftermarket wheels. I love that color of your car, its clean looking. 2009-2012 Acura TL 19" Chrome-look Alloy Accessory Wheel OEM NEW , set 4 | eBay ^^^ those would look tits if you can find them in silver, gunmetal or even the chrome might not look too bad, looks like Audi wheels.
^^^^^^ BOOOOOO! lol 19's are perfect for that car, I had 19"s on my 2005 accord, and it was perfect...... if cost is a concern, 18"s but 19"s are baller.
Yeah, the gap is Rally Car status right there! this is how I prefer my accords to sit. 19x8.5 +38 235/35-19
tsw donington's have a similar look to the wheels in the op. (Maybe not lol... after looking @ them again.) They actually remind me of 1st gen Mazdaspeed3 wheels.) http://www.tsw.com/img/donington_matte_black_reg_normal_white.jpg
I love the 19" HFP wheels. I'm not a very aftermarket wheels person though. One downside of having 19" rims is the cost of tires.
you can get some decent 19" tires for commuting and they are not much more then a set of comprable 18"s But if you jump to say michelins, bridgestones or continental, it could get pricey
Karl your looked nice, Vossen's are nice but at $2250+ a set there not cheap here. I can get these for $1800 maybe less if I bring him down. MMR are legit, they were the Vossens of 3 or 4 years ago, everyone on Club lexus had those it seemed, I still like them............. cheaper too, you should look at who is selling wheels on V6performance.net. or other forums you can usually scoop up wheels and tires for less then 1500.00
get HFP suspension. gives you mild drop and stiffer spring rate but ride still good. what about A-spec rims from TL or something. what about RDX 19" wheels? Brand New Set of Acura RDX 19x8" Wheels (4 wheels) - V6 Performance.net Forums
I was gonna post up the RDX wheels too........ But I had only found them in chrome. The OEM + look is what is in right now...... HFP makes a great suspension, but IIRC its Koni's re labeled. I had Koni coilovers on my accord and loved them, totally enhanced the ride.
HFP is OEM so it was nice. i might need to replace soon. maybe just stiffer springs for better braking
Yes, I know HFP is OEM, but either koni or KYB makes them for honda......IIRC seeing koni stamped on a set of HFP dampers awhile ago
