    Hi all,

First post here and I sincerely wish it wasn't about this topic. I just recently picked up a 2011 Audi A4 wagon. LOVE the car. within the first few weeks that I owned it, I was driving on one of our highways here when a semi truck carry a load of chicken parts lost said lost on the road. I had absolutely no choice but to drive through it. :gross:

a link to the carnage, with photos is here: MEAT SURFING

he story is definitely comical but the smell is really starting to come out of the wheel wells where pretty much all the stuff ended up. I've washed it a couple times, spent lots of time scrubbing the fender liners, taken the wheels off and scrubbed with an orange solution, etc but i haven't been able to clear the scent and I'm pretty frustrated by it as it's a week now and it seems to be getting worse.

Can anyone suggest what I can do/wash with/who to take the car to help me out in Calgary?

    thanks a bunch,
    Brad.

Have you washed the engine bay and the underbody? There could be some junks lodged up in there. If you have no way of getting to the underbody, find a car-wash (touchless if possible) that offers an underbody wash.

I would say you should just blast the entire car with some dawn dish soap or car shampoo.

I definitely second the advice on cleaning the undercarriage....there is probably a ton more that needs to be cleaned off there as well. Try the car wash underbody (probably multiple times) or if you can find someone/where to get the car up on a lift and pressure wash the hell out of it.

There are so many nooks and crannies under the car that the meat could be sitting, and even behind the plastic in the wheel wells. Unfortunately this sounds like a job that is much more than just cleaning the wheels and wheel wells.

Thanks guys, yeah I'm going to find a undercarriage wash and run through it a couple times today if possible. I'm also going to talk to some detail shops and get an estimate on a complete clean up.

The smell should just be coming from the underbody and engine bay as others have posted so for the most part just a good cleaning in these areas. I would use something like P21s Total Auto Wash for these areas, it has a nice citrus smell and works extremely well and safe for all areas of the car. I don't normally recommend this for the exterior paint unless diluted, in your case there is no need to wash the exterior with it.
