These aren't holograms... it's phantom flames! People pay good money for those paint jobs. ;)

keep buying groupons till the clear is compromised........... LOL

these people amaze me, they do not understand the whole concept anyway so i gave up trying to explain it. Problem is when dealerships do this to new or used cars people think its normal and they don't care, they want it "waxed" which is the all in one term they use to say "make it look shiny"

I make more money anyway just doing a 6 hour clean and prep job them a full correction........ but I make sure the car is fully documented with pictures so they cannot say I put that halogram or other swirl in the paint. Also I always ask first, "do you want me to fix it, or cover it up and minimize it" and that is usually followed by whats the cost difference, not what do you do........so there is the root of the problem right there, price.

I wonder if someone is so good at making designs with holograms that they can do "ghosted flames" or other effects usually achieved through airbrushing haha.

Hard to beat that Expedition but I think this one may take the cake...note that it's supposed to be a BLACK car, not grey! :D

Ouch... that Infiniti G looks beaten.

Don;t these guys inspect their work? I thought the whole point of polishing is to make paint as perfect as possible... not to make it uglier. The technique is obviously wrong. They need to practice before touching another car.

These are so painful. Who pays their hard earned money for those types of results?

I can imagine a conversation between a customer and one of these hack detailers...

Hack: "Would you be interested in my paint correction service?"
Client: "Paint correction? What is that?"
Hack: "Here, I'll show you... you see these swirl marks... now watch this... (takes buffer to a panel)"
Customer: "Dude, why did you **** up my paintjob?"
Hack: "Sorry man, theoretically the swirls should've been removed, I guess I'm not doing it right... let me try another panel"

    Hehe, I couldn't resist.

:) tape off patterns rather than 50/50's when repairing one of those.

Actually, I think the convo goes more like this:

Client: I bought your Groupon the other day for an $85 wash, buff, 'n wax. Here are my keys.

    Hack: All done.

Client: Wow! So clean and shiny!

    Meanwhile...on detailing bliss....
