yea, i figured that, i was more curious on technique with actual painting. Or are wraps the only way to go?

wraps are the most cost-effective and best solution out there for going matt, IMO...

It is most likely a regular boxer convertible that has been converted to the carrera gt because nobody in their right mind that owns a real Carrera gt would go to a shotty shop like that.

I think you are right; the body panels look off.

My wife has seen this car around Santiago, DR. It's a boxster with a fiberglass body kit.

Owner deserves everything he's getting (not getting) for bringing a $440,000 limited edition car to a place like that.

Unless somehow that car is a replica in which case such a paint job is fitting.

MB as im sure any other car maker that does this accomplishes this with flat clear coat. so under it it still same color coat. MB warns ppl not to polish their mate black paint otherwise you will get shiny car

I like the lack of PPE for the guy painting... if he doesn't care about his own health and safety, you think he gives a poop about anyones car? lol

Number-1 rule when painting a car - the floor has to be absolutely wet and so clean that you could eat off of it, or you will be blowing the fine dust on it all over your wet paint.
This poor guy will never be done sanding off all the dirt that has blown onto his paint job (?) Or maybe he wants to have that "granular feel" texture on the paint?
I looked at his face and he looks like he has inhaled way too much paint fumes that day, and he is not wearing a respirator either!
    Wow, what a mess ! :)
