get your bank, insurance company involved they are heavyweights and can lean on the dealership, the bank will not like hearing they are putting up a loan for a car that has diminished value and your insurance company will not like the fact they are insuring a car that may have underlying damage.........
wow, 10 years ago I worked at a dealer and the delivery driver messed up the trunk on a car. They took pictures of the damage so they could put it with the car to let the customer know exactly what had happened. And I didn't think they were that honest most times but they said that anything over a certain dollar value (I think it was $300 back then) had to be noted to the customer in California at least. Although their level of honesty might have been increased because the delivery company was picking up the tab. Where as if a detailer burns through the paint on a prep they might not be so ready to be honest about the damage. At one point in time I thought of getting a PTG just for car shopping.
Well that has commenced... Those are my next two stops...But I doubt the bank will care too much as I owe less then a 1/3 of the cars value... That could be arranged... Sadly I gave this car a very good inspection I thought...The issue seems that the car was painted somewhat recently before I bought it and this issue has just arose since the extreme changes in temperature...
In the past, I've gotten my car returned to me like this. Not nearly as bad though...maybe four or five of those dots in one little place. From my understanding it's from a poor job of prepping the paint. The clear coat is not properly settling onto the paint, hence those dots. This is far from a factory finish
