Hey guys I know we're in the holiday of savings! So I just wanna pick some brains here. I know all detailer's prices are not the same.... but I think we all offer some kind of discount? no? Im just listing some of them that I've seen, if you have one you like to share, please feel free! 1 st time cust discount someone like your FB page someone refer people to you multi car discount light color discount exterior + interior savings Maintenance plans Friends + family co-workers Auto body Dealerships and if you're against discounts, feel free too!
I started detailing for other this year for I offered "First 20 customers" discount, I didn't really know how to price my services so I just gave them a price and on the invoice I would write the retail price for a average of 40% more so they felt as if they saved quite a bit of money. That would also let them know that they would have to pay that next time for their services. I am thinking next year I am going to have a points system, basically I have a customer who comes to me every 3 months and I have a bi-yearly contract. Those two customers will get a free upgrade to the next service example by 4 times a year customer will get his protection detail upgraded to a decon package. Upgrades will happen so long as the next service is not multi-step detail. If thats the case then I'll just give them 2 free add on's like Window/Trim Sealant or engine detail.
Obviously I've done friends and family; I think everybody does or did at some point. I tried having the coworkers refer me to other people they knew in exchange for a free wash. I'm seriously considering to only offer my lowest priced "maintenance" wash to contractual customers that will want service either once a week or 2 weeks.
