    My Sweetheart and I are F-1 Fanatics !!! :)
Have been following F-1 for 12 years and just love it !

We were lucky to go to the US Grand Prix F-1 race at Indy in 2006, and it was an absolutely amazing 3 days !! The cars are so loud !!!!

Cant wait for the racing to start in Austin, and would definitely go in a heart beat !!!!

Our dream would be to someday get to go to Monaco first and Nurburgring 2nd.....

Thanks for the pics of the McLaren car getting Sonax! :)

    Go Formula-1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to go, it has been a dream for me to see one in person for years! I have spoken to my girlfriend and told her we have to go sometime and she is excited about it, I just haven't been fortunate enough to make it happen yet.

    Danny --

I hope you get to go see one someday. It is so darn amazing.
When we went to Indy in 2006, we stayed in the same hotel as the Red Bull Team - what a bunch of crazy guys !!! It was great !

We took a chartered Mercedes bus to and from the race (it was part of the package we bought) and everyone was so amp'd up for the race..
The Police Motorcycle Escort cops were crazy too !! Once we got close to the track, they jumped up on the seats of their Harley Davidsons and just drove for a long while standing up on their seats posing like Superman and stuff ! Some of the German people on the bus with us almost freaked out ! :) It was amazing to watch Policemen do this!!
The evening after the race was over on Sunday, they came by and took our bus back to the hotel a different way - yup, the Freeway, and yup, they got up on their Harley's again, as we were going up the On-Ramp, and led us onto the Freeway standing on the seats of the bikes !!!!! Only in Indiana, Only in Indiana !!! :):):)

Umm YES. Once they build the track in Austin, I will be going to a race. I just can't justify traveling cross country to go to one. Not while I'm in College anyways...

Germany! Although Silverstone or Spa wouldn't exactly be punishment either.

have been to 2 at Indy and 1 in Montreal. Seeing/hearing these cars up close and personal is unreal. Seeing them on tv is about 1/1000th of the in person experience. I'm sure it varies venue to venue, but the atmosphere is awesome and is so much fun.

I will certainly be at the NJ one regardless if its on you Phil, so stoked when I heard the new about this! I'd have to go with Germany for poll purposes!

This could not be truer. On TV, you rarely see all the drivers, they tend to show some sections, but mostly stick with the "main battles." In person, you get a great view of any given section you choose and get to see all the battles between drivers. And if that isn't enough, you get general admission with all passes, meaning you could walk around the track and feel the action in any place.

In Montreal, there are 2 GREAT spots: 1) the medium straight, just before the hair pin where they decelerate from over 150 MPH, down shifting from 7th to 2nd, and then taking off through to 5th on the other side...and 2) the "Sena Curve" grand stands, where you see them coming in at near 200 MPH, down shifting into 3rd for a medium hard left, followed by a tight right u-turn and taking off again. And when these works of art down-shift, and then accelerate, you literally feel the pounding through your whole body. Anyone who has not been given the privilege to experience this, must find a way to do so. It's almost life changing if you're the slightest bit into racing.

I'm in... I don't care where but I did pick Germany. Like others here, my better half is also a F1 nut. We're in a F1 fantasy pool every year and this year my wife has been in first place the whole season (from race 1) out of 70 teams. She has a 110 point lead over second place with two races left! I'm never going to live this down. :D Some year we will go see the cars dance around Circuit Gilles Villeneuve... or the new track in NJ. That layout looks really cool.
