I was wondering when does the clay magic patent expire if I remember correctly it should be soon. Also what happens when it does expire would we be able to buy other clays that are not available right now.

nanoskin has what they call the autuscrub pad that should kill the clay bar. I have been using it and I cant imagine using clay again. They will be at sema also.

It has a grid pattern to it that I did not mention or do a close up on. Thanks

Good, because I HATE claying. HATE IT. Almost as much as doing windows.

Just google'd this quick because I had no idea what you guys were talking about.... I immediately found a link that said that currently "all" clay bars are made by Clay Magic no matter what brand name is on it... Is this true or did I just not read far enough into it?

i thought different people made the clay but they had to pay clay magic

This....and the patent expiration is 2013, where they might renew and win..

All the clays are made all over the place, some of the UK famous clays are actually made here. BUT, if you sell it here you need to pay the piper (AWC - auto wax company aka auto magic)

So basically its 5000 or 6000 grit sanding discs? Pretty cool though.

I like the objective ID portion of claying since we know what contamination is what.

(also I didn't know fallout came from buildings):tiptoe:

In spite of the presentation, the product looks interesting. I wonder how ONR would work with it?

Hmmm, my detail supplier was helping out at the booth? I wonder whats up that?

I used a new one today on a red g6 and it looked great under the traditional lighting. No signs of marring.

Good to know someone's got one. Did you use their lube? Can you try it with ONR and see how it does?

I did try it with onr and it marred pretty bad but the pad waas at the end of its lifespan and it was cold out 45ish. so it could have been the conditions. I will try again soon though. this is one of the first questions i had also, so I am interested to know as well.
