Some video testing of our upcoming product: Quick Sealant

I have a lot more footage of various tests I need to throw together, but heres some tidbits.

Some background on the product -

Its an optically clear sealant, so no unsightly buildup around badges, or trim. Semi-self leveling, only takes a little help from a foam app to spread and then a few moments later any residual is easily removed with a MF towel.

Provides solid durability for such a quick/easy product. In various conditions we've seen a reasonable average lifespan of 2 months or more.

100% VOC compliant and the can is 90% recycled materials.

Production version will be 10oz high compressed aerosol so a good amount of product.

Highly detergent and heat resistant and can be used on any surface.

Release slated for sometime before Christmas. Enjoy.

Sort of hard to pick up the beading on Silver Accord and DSG F-350 but you can still see the sheeting action. I guess what I am saying is it would have been easier to see on a black vehicle. I am going to say that is an interesting product Adams is about to release!. Dylan on a separate note I have I wanted to know if Adams Waterless Wash has any sort of gloss enhancers or polymers in it. I am looking for Waterless Wash that I can use that is free of polymers and doesn't provide any protection just the ability to clean the paint carefully. I need this because I have a nano coating on my Mustang GT and cannot use any quick detailers, spray waxes, sealants or waxes because it will clog the coating. I am hoping Adams Waterless Wash is only a cleaner so that I may use it on my mustang in between washes without ruining my coating. Also do we get any sort of discount for being a member here at DB?

 

Yea... black would've been ideal, but my truck is the test bed for some new paste waxes so it wasn't open for testing and the only subject vehicles I had were silvers/grays. Still gets the point across.

Well I am sure this product is going to do really well due to its easy of use. Wow so you guys are also testing some new paste waxes you have to post some videos on those once you get the ok from Adam. I have seen some pics of how good Adams Americana looks on my friends black mustang roush and I have to say it looks amazing after he corrected it. I might pick some up this winter for our black ML 350 since that is out garage queen only uses regular sealants and carnaubas any idea what the carnauba volume is for Adams Americana. I think this will great product for volume type shops because you won't have to stop anytime during application to reapply to your applicator.

BTW if you need any cold weather test, I'm the whore that likes to ride up top :mounty:

I love paste waxes, and will keep an eye out for the upcoming products.

 

I usually keep my mouth shut since I don't know much about the Adam's Products or thecCmpany. I don't get why this would be better than say Opti-Seal or Ultima Paint Guard Plus (both are pump spray on, spread, and walk away). The aerosolized deliver system is novel, but since you have to spread with applicator and buff off with a MF anyway why is it "better" than standard application? Getting "2 months or more" protection is not what I would call exceptional. So what am I missing? THe only thing that has me wanting to try it is if I can use it on my Clear Bra without fear of buildup at the edges. Would save me taping the areas.

I am not trashing the product, just wanting to know what I am missing?

 

The thing here is that Dylan from Adams is just introducing a new product they are testing and he decided to share it with us. Sure there are the other two products you mentioned and many other products that protect for longer than 2 months. But the point here is not really that they are trying to go out and make a product similar to Opti-Seal or UPGP but something that is unique for them. Also since the thread states testing it might still not be the official version that is going to be sold to the public yet they might make it better before they release it who knows. The video is just simply to let us know that Adams is releasing a new product soon man. What I have come to notice from Adams customers from what I have seen on videos and read online is that they enjoy using the products frequently, so I am sure the individuals who purchase this product will be happy with its results. Since they are most likely not going to use it as an LSP but rather a base for added protection under the Americana Carnauba. One good thing is that if you purchase it and you dont like it they refund you 110% of what you paid for which is great I dont know any company anywhere that does that.

 

All of the above, plus the fact that each of the products (opti-seal and UPGP) have individual attributes that make them more popular to one person over another.

Some people may like the look of one over another, the ease of application, the slickness etc.

if it is compatible with clear bra I might too-Have not tried any of their products to date mostly becasue I have not heard the right buzz here and in other places.

 

ok, all jokes aside, the aerosol delivery method is nice, and user friendly, however time wise its about the same amount of time if I was to say apply any other type of spray sealant....... like permanon which I love BTW, but like hydro or zaino spray seal to me about the same amount of time, buffing and effort. What to me is a pluss is it works on plastics etc so its very comprehensive. Id love to see more on it.

Different way to skin the same cat... what you're asking is the same as asking why any company releases a paste wax when others already exist or why would anyone introduce a car soap since there are others already on the market. I'll be the first to say that I think opti-seal is a great product and in some ways kind of what inspired this products development (among other things) but if we halted development of a product simply because there were others like it already on the market we'd never develop anything unless it created a whole new class of product. What this product will offer is similar protection (I never saw better than 2 months from OS) with easy/fast application to all surfaces without residues or staining.

What the use of an aerosol with this product allows for is a finer atomization of the sealant, requiring less to be used in a single application, in a short period of time, and with minimal finger fatigue versus a pump sprayer.

 

ohhhhhh, I forgot about that....... must not order Americana...... must not order.......
