Is Micro-Restore my best bet? Or anything else I should consider? Is there a noticeable difference in Micro-Restore/Other Cleaner versus plain old Tide?

Use the free and clear version of Tide. Fragrance free and no filler.

Haven't used MR but have the Chemical Guys MF cleaner and I'm satisfied.

I've used MicroRestore and the CG MF cleaner, and I think the Micro Restore cleans the MFs better. The CG MF cleaner didn't work that well on staining etc.

    Kind regards,

I've used MicroRestore, Pakshak Formulon 1, and Woolite and they all seem to work the same.

Thanks for that post. You just saved me some cash (from buying formulon 1).

If someone could make a better MF cleaner than what standard laundry detergent can do, they would make an absolute killing.

Also used a few gallons over the years of Micro-Restore and Chemical Guys Microfiber Cleaner, and agree that Micro Restore might just clean a little better than the former.

I try to find the one that is on sale when its time to buy. Have not used much laundry detergent, so cant really tell you what it does or what it doesnt do.

Guess one has to figure how much the investment of microfiber is, factor in the cost of maintaining them (cleaning), and then decide over the long haul, what cleaner worked best and didnt degrade the towels to the point that they were unusable.. Something like that, Im guessing...
