I have a 2002 Aspen White Subaru WRX. It's slow!

I bought the car in March 2008 with 106k miles on the chassis. The motor was (essentially) replaced at a local dealership at the previous owners expense when the car had 90k miles on it... So I pretty much got it when it only had about 16k miles on the motor.

I'm currently at ~170k miles on the clock. Still runs like a champ.

    Exterior:

    - ebay headlights
    - DIY painted grill pieces
    - debadged trunk (except "Impreza" logo)
    - "WRX" badge relocated to front grill
    - Impreza "I" badge
    - JDM STI hoodscoop... Still unpainted
    - clear corner lights
    - front tow hook
    - custom paint chips
    - Better-than-RallyArmor Mud flaps

    interior:

    - STI seats
    - STI door cards
    - Kartboy shift knob
    - ATI clock gauge pod

    Engine/Power:

    - STI TMIC
    - Cobb SRI
    - Samco Sport turbo inlet
    - Samco Sport Y-pipe
    - STI radiator
    - VF39
    - STI Pink injectors
    - TGV Deletes
    - Grimmspeed Up Pipe
    - Tial 38mm External Wastegate (dumps to atmosphere)

    Engine Management:

    - Cobb AP OTS map with launch control (LC collects virtual dust)

    Exhaust

    - Helix bell-mouth 3" downpipe
    - custom 3" midpipe (catless)
    - SPT axle back

    Suspension:

    - TEIN Flex Coilovers
    - Whiteline ALK
    - Custom X-brace
    - TEIN front tower brace

    Brakes:

    - DBA slotted front rotors
    - Brembo blank rear rotors
    - Hawk HPS pads all around
    - Goodridge SS brake lines

    Drivetrain:

    - BA transmission
    - OEM clutch
    - Group-N transmission mount

    Electronics:

    - Kenwood DNX 6160
    - Prosport boost and oil pressure gauge
    - AEM UGO Wideband

As far as future plans, there's not a whole lot...

    - gunmetal wheels w/ orange lug nuts
    - pro-tune
    - ability to push all-the-boost
    - quit smoking
    - lose about 30 lbs and drop 2 pants sizes.... Oh wait, car stuff...
    - rally lights to combat terrible night blindness

I'm sure I'm forgetting something else....

Nice car man, I like the writing on your mud flaps. But I think Kilo's year/model STI was the best one ever made. I could essentially buy one of these things but the maintenance cost here is just so expensive.

I'm a pretty big fan of the 04-05 sti. I'd love to have one but the 2011 sti hatches have been looking pretty nice.

being a Audi nut here, I actually like the saab looking STIs and the current hatch. Subaru makes awesome cars with great reliability ( from what I heard )

Subaru's are right up there with honda and toyota when it comes to reliability. But as with any car, its the owners who actually extend or shorten a cars life with being vigilant with the maintenance.
