Yes I saw that too, I was going to invest in the system but because I generally work with Japanese cars. I think I'll stick to my rotary. From what I have read, it's really the D300 and cutting disk that is the miracle worker, the finishing disk and D301 is not better then any other foam and polishing product on the market.

I am a bit confused. Are people on the understanding that this system being SMAT tech will work for everyone on every finish? Are people not aware that micromarring occurs with SMAT products on soft finishes?

we have the megs D300 system at work and i use it almost everyday.i never had a problem with halograms at all. in fact sometimes i use it after using a rotery to remove swirls/halograms. it could just be that people are not using it right.it also depends on the paint and how bad it is.its not made to replace an rotery.if the car has bad defects in the paint dont use it. its for light to medium defects.its a good product...not my favorite but it works well for what it is.

SMAT = Super Micro Abrasive Technology i.e. non-diminishing abrasives that are extremely fine. Meguiar's has used this for the last five years or so. M105 & M205 use SMAT and I think D151 does too (probably more of their more recent compounds and polishes as well).

is d300 + the cutting disk a replacement for m105? Or are they on different levels.

    M105 has slightly more cut.

m105 has a lot more cutting ability but d300 adds more shine.

I should have no problem using Menzerna polishes with the MF pads right?

its always worth a try. however megs worked on the d300/microfiber pads for over 5 years to see which products works best with that pad.IMO menzerna has better polishes then megs but im sure you wont get better results then the d300/microfiber pad together.ur better off just using menz with an LC or uber pad.
