Since winter is coming up, i figure that it is time fore me to get another lsp. My favorite thing is to look at the beading on my car when it rains, and the only lsp that has really ever done it for me in terms of beading is 845.

The only other noteworthy wax that i have is lusso oro, but the beading isnt near as tight as i like.

So can you guys recommend waxes that have beading that is comparable to collinite 845 and under $100

    thanks

My favorite is Prima Epic. It should last you through winter, and it has insane beading.

I would be interested in hearing too, especially sealants. I got really nice carnauba like beading with autoglym hd wax but it was not very easy to apply and spread. I can't comment on durability of beading since I only used it during spring, but I hear it flattens rather quickly. I found zaino to be good too, just a notch under hd wax when it comes to fresh beading but it lasted well during winter.

Naviwax is next on my list to try.

    Autoglym HD is pretty decent.

I can't remeber what the beading is like with Werkstat AJT, but it has some pretty decent durability, and so easy to use.

What's the longevity on Glanz? I have some but never had the chance to try it. You use it as a sealant right?

I am not a wax fan, reason being is it is so hot in central California it does not last and it traps dust and pollen, im more into sealants, I top it up every other month, and post wash wipe down with Pro detailer, I am 3 months into it with 100+ degrees, lots of dust etc..... doing well if you ask me, better then p21s. its allot slicker then AGHD, I am very happy with it, its the only wax that I own really....... with exceptions to some AIOs D151 and menz cleaning wax.

Wait until you try Crystal Rock or Royale! The dust flies off when you drive. A free car wash everytime it rains.Slicker than oil! Kidding.

Sealants are great. I have a 0.5oz sample of glanz that I got randomly in an order. Used it on a test spot on a wheel, didn't last more than a few days. Of course, my judgement is terrible as it was in the middle of winter, massive salt, massive sand and dirt on the roads as well as snow. I wouldn't expect anything to last in those conditions on wheels.

On topic: I found IW845 to have sweet beading. Lusso was good too for the one time I used it... I have to use other LSPs more often.

Even though it's a sealant, 5 coats of Powerlock will give you some tight beading. Don't ask me how i would know this..

I've always used 845 or Powerlock for protection, both give great beading. Colli's 915 is a great nuba as well, and I use it as my topper. Awesome beading.

Blackfire Wet Diamond or Powerlock then top either with AG HD and you will have some really tight beading. I have 2 coats of Powerlock on my GT its been raining here quite a bit recently which is weird for El Paso, TX well its withstanding all the dirt, dust, heat and rain. The other day my mustang looked the worst I have seen it in years since I couldnt wash it for over 3 weeks since it was raining practically every day. I finally washed it two days ago and Powerlock is still on there and after washing and using Prima Slick to quick detail it it looked like I had just topped it with another coat. I have to say I am really impressed.

lots of good suggestions. heres a pic of 845 in the morning after a light rain last year

i have heard a couple times that petes 53 has beading that is very similar to colli 845. any thoughts on this?

the one thing i hate about aplying 845 is that is smells bad and the solvent soaks through applicator pads and gets all over your hands.
