What products do you regret buying?

I'm not sure if there is a thread like this, but I just wanted to hear people's stories about any sort of detailing tools or products they have purchased and weren't completely satisfied with or regretted buying altogether.

My inventory of products is not large compared to some of you and most of my products have met or exceeded my expectations. However, there were a few that didn't end up being what I expected.

    For example,

I bought a shelf load of buff and shine 5.5" pads, and was shocked at how stiff the orange pads were. The white pads were also on the stiff side I felt for a polishing pad. Pretty difficult to work with compared to LC orange and pads that I was used to having.

    Let's hear everyone's stories. :thumb:

HMMM. I regretted buying the 1Z highline paint polishes. Too messy for me. But that was awhile ago.

I have had so many waxes change through my hands, and never tried half of them, so I guess that would be a regret.

Adams undercarriage - nothing like an oil slick to attract every atom of grime back into your wheel wells and gunk up your brushes.

Swissvax autobahn - 6 hour durability (thumbdown).

..and with all the junk we have tested and bought to eval I will mod this once I can a decent list.

Prima Nero - durability is not great at all.
CG Hybrid V7 - didn't think it was that awesome even though it smells like fruity pebbles to me!

    Autoglym shampoo
    Autoglym Tire Shine (zomg silicone)
CG BL + Hybrid V7 kinda
Prima Mystique cuz of the nonsudding action
Prima Nero is a 50:50, durability is a serious issue

FK polishes and glazes. I like FK 108, 146, 425 and Pink Wax and 1000P. Their other products, not so much.

Poorboys Natty's Blue was terrible. Lot of OTC products have failed to meet my expectations.

One of the LED bulbs on my Brinkmann swirl finder burnt out after two corrections... it's a great tool to have, but man I expected a bit more life out of the bulbs.

CG Diablo wheel cleaner. Yes it's safe on all wheel surfaces and smells like bubblegum, but it's not really that effective.

I know nothing about the Brinkmann light but I'm 80-95% sure that the LED bulb itself is not the problem. I work with LED's at work and 99.9% of the time it's a loose wire/solder/resistor inside the unit.

Smell, price, and not ideal for my car. The brakes on my car doesn't produce iron so Sonax wasn't needed for my car. Minus the iron part, CWC beats Sonax in all other categories and it cleans tires too!

Glad to say everything I have works well- at least for what I paid for. HD Free was just meh... Not into waterless washing but they shipped it accidentally. Hyper Dressing sample I had worked alright, didn't last water at all. AG shampoo- terrible wash, how could you use this stuff it's slickness is just water.

Actually I did buy Glossworkz but it's an alright product and I'll get use out of it by adding it to other washes. Older products that were in the household where OTC such as Meguiars Leather Conditioner Spray- awful, I could swear it's just grease.

Autoglym soap, 1z polishes, a few CG products are decent but didn't live up to the hype as usual.

Thanks for the insight. I'll open it up and check the wiring. Hopefully it is a loose wire for a quick fix.
