I was just wondering if you guy's have ever used one of these before?

I am a bit confused. Does this act like a power sander where it only orbits without actually rotating?

I know my Flex 3401 orbits AND rotates something like 480rpm on speed 6.

Does this Griot's polisher not rotate at all?

i have my eye on this as well ..i think it acts like a pc ...where your 3401 is forced rotation.

It rotates, just like the 6" Griot's, PC 7424XP, Megs, etc.

I had the version before the latest, complete waste of money. Didn't have enough power to polish your shoes. Now, the say the new one is better, but, it's still a toy compared to a PC or the various clones.

I have one and it works great. Speed 6 is where its at, anything below and your spinning your wheels. Very nice machine to use and the 3" size is fitting for tiny areas that need work.

I have one as well. Haven't used it on any cars yet, just motorcycle parts a neighbor had me do earlier this year.

Like dsms said, low speeds don't really yield anything.

I have one that I use on every job I do, it's a very capable machine, and being so small has the advantage of getting into tight places too. But yeah, anything less than speed 6 is not that great, and the Griot's 3 inch orange pads aren't as good as the LC ones. (LC sells 3 1/2 inch orange pads)

I bought one too as I always seem to find myself within tight spaces and I don't trust myself to manually buff that well. This guy does the trick and it's fairly inexpensive.

I'm hoping it's like Griots DA polisher. If so then i'm definitely getting one in the very near future.

Yes, it is the same as the 6" Griot's just in 3"

Amazon sometimes has this unit on the goldbox deals. I was able to get the larger one for $70 from amazom.
