Cans of Compressed Air Question

I know using compressed air is best for cleaning microfiber pads. I don't have a small compressor, but what about cans of compressed air? I know these cans contain some sort of propellant, freon being one of them.

My question is...does anybody know if/how a propellant might impact the pad or product being used? Or does the propellant have no impact at all?

Just curious if anybody has used a can of compressed air to clean their microfiber pads and if you noticed any difference after its use? Thanks!

It's funny that you posted this, because I'm planning on testing this method tomorrow. I'll post my findings.

I don't believe the can of compressed air will have any effect there is no enough pressure for it to be effective, it won't have any negative effect on the pad if you give it a try though. Even if it did work the compressed air is only good in short bursts.

I'm planning on using compressed air can and a brush. I'm thinking the brush will remove most of it and the can will take care of the rest and fluff the pad up.

I believe there are some compressed air brands that don't shoot out moisture.

I've also had posted the same question over some forums but still wait for someone to try. I don't have a compressor and never will have one so I hope canned air works. Otherwise, I'll brush the pads to clean and have a battery powered hand blower to fluff the fibers again.

GDAL, were you able to test this out over the weekend?

I had a chance to try this method out ... You definitively need more psi than what a can provides. I don't think it does a better job than a cleaning brush.
