I've been eyeing up a new set of hoops for my R6. This will be a major purchase for my bike and is honestly just about the last thing that I could do to it. This will likely be a purchase for next year, but I'm excited thinking about it. I'm likely going with Carrozzerias. Now the question will be what color for the finish. These are the options and a pic of my bike above them:
If it were me I would go with the furthest to the right above and I really like your bike. By the way and what exhaust is that?
Nice wheels. If it were my bike I think my top choices would be Titanium Gray, Machine Silver or Satin Black. I'm very much old school and I'm not a huge fan of color anodization for a number of reasons.
Thanks for the compliments. Black is a top 3 choice. The exhaust is by Competition Werkes. This was a custom fabricated piece (midpipe and the flange) that they did for my bike and my dad's matching R6. I highly recommend Competition Werkes for their excellent service and amazing work. The welds on this exhaust are bar none. If anyone has ever seen an AMA supersport race you will recognize the sound; I've never heard an exhaust sound so close to a racebike in my life. Thanks for the opinion; very true. Thanks; even though I would have put gold last on the list. Thanks; those are my top three choices. I agree, I feel the anodized would be too much color. It seems to be that black is most people's choice (facebook friends agree for the most part). I love the machined look too; I like the fact that it will match the silver frame (which any modern bike is now black frame). The silver would set the frame off well. Decisions, decisions.
I woulnd buy wheels, i'd paint the wheels you have on to color match the silvier/grayish on the bike itself.
Thanks. I've considered that, but I'm not a big fan of the wheel style I have now (painted differently or not). Another bonus is these new hoops are super light....losing weight where it matters the most
I would do the front wheel in silver to match the fairing sticker and the back one in blue. I used this theme on my 929RR and it looked great. Besides ... I don't think you want a light colored wheel in the back 'cause it gets dirtier than the front one.
I don't have any pics of the bike. I wrecked it 5 years ago. I can show you the scars though ... lmao.
