This stunning golf was booked in for a full external correction after recieving damage from a waterblade whilst with its previous owner. It had otherwise been very well looked after with only the usual swirl maring and Random Deep Scratches dulling the finish on what has to be the best colour ever Porsche Bassalt Black... or as VW call it Black Magic. here are a few in progress shots showing general marking under the Sun Gun and Halide lights as well as a few 50:50 shots. Correction was achieved using Megs #105 Í primarily on a mixture of Chemical Guys hexlogic White and green Pads. then Refined using Wolf Chemicals finishing compound, that really refines paint like no other product I have ever used. LSP was my usual combo of Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze and 2 coats of Valentines Concours wax with a wipe down of Cemical Guys Hybrid V7 spray sealant. Wheels sealed using rim wax. Hope u enjoy. Now for refining. Hope you like Ronnie
As a MKV owner myself (Rabbit (AKA Golf to the rest of the world)) I can say that BMP is not one of my favorite colors; the metallic flake in it always makes a car look dirty. However, this correction looks stellar! This is how BMP should look! I should also add that MKVs are some of the best cars for showing off great work - the smooth, flowing panels really show off a great correction. Once again, awesome work Ronnie.
this was all corrected by rotary and the paint it pretty rock hard to be honnest. worked well just very slow. with these paints I find you have to take your time and work slowly and methodically with them rather than upping the speed and compound.
Yes, I have found the exact same to be true on my Reflex Silver VW Jetta, it takes forever to correct.
yea funny did a solid black R32 today as well and it was the same slow cut method def works best for these cars!
