For those that have the foaming attachment from HD, what soaps do you think work best in it?

So far I have tried CG CWC and some DP Extreme soap that was given to me by Cooter.

I have a Chevy Traverse to do tomorrow so I will have a chance to play with the foam attachment again. Should I be mixing some Power Clean in there or ONR(suggested by Overtimedetailer).

    Thanks all!

I have used Megs Hyper Wash, as well as Shampoo Plus, and both worked amazingly well...Shampoo Plus is quite cheap and worked even better then Maxi Suds II for me. Duragloss #901/902/903 works well too, even better then Optimum...DP Xtreme Foam formula is quite nice, but $50 a gallon is quite pricey, considering there are so many cheaper alternatives...

Can you share some pictures of the type of foam you are getting from the HD attachment?

I will try my best next time I wash. if you look on youtube you can find videos. What I have used so far just doesn't seem to stick to the car very long. That could be from the foam attachment itself. I know this has to be better then using a foam gun from a water hose.

I use Adams and it creates a great foam. I was very surprised at the thickness and volume just using a 1400psi homecheapo washer. Switch from fan to stream and foam goes about 30ft. Makes my Foam gun look like fisher price gadget.

Which foam gun do you have? The home depot model doesn't have any options for changing the spray pattern.

Well shit, I have the same one. Does the lever on top change the pattern?? I should have read the instructions lol. I am using a 2500 psi unit for mine.

Hmm I only paid 15 for mine. What soap was that in your video? The foam I got from using CG CWC was just a little thicker than that. Still love the video though.

I just tried mine today at a detail meet. Hopefully we can get a video up soon. I used Surf City wash & wax(blue stuff) about half water half soap. It looked like shaving cream going on and really clung to the car. I have a cheap 1400psi electric PW greenworks is the brank I believe.

Finally got the loaded on the interweb. Heres the foam gun in action.

(Click the picture and it should take you to the video.)

anyone tried this thing on a regular garden hose, I know it has a 1/4 disconnect fitting but I could make it work.

Yes it would work but you would need to buy the wand attachment that HD sells as well. It has the brass 1/4 inch quick disconnect on the end and 4-5 different end pieces that are compatible with most pressure washers.

Thanks! That foam looks great from the video, much better than what I was getting. I'm literally going to go buy that right now.
