I'm wondering what a good wheel brush for getting into the barrels is. I have a number of the Griot's garage wheel scrubbers (below), but on some cars with big brakes I run into clearance issues around the discs and calipers (. What do you guys recommend? I know the Raceglaze XL brush is popular: As is the EZ brush: Any other suggestions? These Griot's microfiber wheel wants look good But I'm not sure how well they will hold up (longevity wise). Props to a brush that can bend to reach behind the spokes too - but not necessary. Once again, a slim profile is key.
I use the spoke brush from DD. My car does not have much clearance around rotor and caliper it works great. Sometimes it does get stuck between caliper and rim but it does come out with ease. Just used the wand that fits in a drill. Not happy with it, flies out of chuck every two seconds.
the raceglaze brush works awesome with BBKs. you might also wanna check out Eimann Fabrik's wheel woolies.
Raceglaze Xl > daytona/ez detail brush The raceglaze xl has virturally zero splatter and wont break on you unlike the daytona/ez detail brush.
I like the mini ez detail brush. But it can't handle the bigger rims, ~18inch+ as easily. Raceglaze xl is excellent too, I just wish the bristles were a tad longer. If you combined the mini ez detail and the raceglaze xl you would have my ideal wheel brush! Between the two and my ferret brush I bent, I barely touch my ez detail brush regular size.
Raceglaze XL Works great on my 20" rims. So great that I'm leaving it with my mother to use. I'm going to need to buy another or something when I'm in HK.
I highly suggest the RG brush or the Wheel Woolies. I like the woolies for the cleaner wheels that need a quick brushing and the RG brush when I need a little more scrubbing power. I have the ez brushes and hate how much splatter they have! I don't wear really nice clothes when I detail but I still hate that I have black crap speckled all over me when I would use them. The only thing I have found a good use for them is using the small one bent for getting behind the spokes. Sent from my HTC Vision using Tapatalk
yeah, I should have mentioned that about the woolies, they are best on wheels that are just dirty but maintained.
The Raceglaze XL Wheel Brush is awesome. The smaller ez detail is handy but as others have mentioned, the larger version splatters so badly you'll end up with dirt all over your arm and body.
