Detailed this 996 GT3 recently, paint was in pretty poor shape but cleaned up very easily. I ended up just using a White LC CCS pad with PO106FA (Menzerna Super Finish) and it literally got rid of everything. Some panels required two passes to completely clean up, but after all that was left were the RDS. Finished the car off with Blackfire Midnight Sun and hand polished door jambs and then sealed them Bilt Hamber Autobalm. All in all, the car came out great, just to bad the sun wasn't out when I finished. All OEM paint. My choice of pads 50/50 after only one pass Was careful polishing around the decals. I had them masked off at first, but tried running the pad over at low speed. Took a while but it came out great. Excellent job! Looked very well taken care of to begin with, but looks brand spankin new after you were done with it.
nice work man...i do the same thing as you when taking paint readings, but i don't have profile printouts of the cars so i just roughly sketch it on paper... would you mind telling me where you get them from? is there like a "database" for those kind of car profile outlines? thanks.
Thanks, only one wheel had the Rays sticker on it when it came in. Thanks! Yeah I was surprised at how soft Porsche clear coats are. Thanks! Thanks! sending you a PM thanks!
Thanks! Thanks Dave! Means a lot coming from you.:worship2: Thanks Ken! A lot of people seem to either hate it or love it. Thanks!
Great work Brendan! That's one nice car. I was also interested in the car profiles for PTG measurements, would be very helpful if I could get a PM too if it's not too much to ask. Thanks! And once again, great work.
