Mytee products are good products. I have had my Mytee HP60 for over 4 years of almost daily use. The only thing that I had to replace was the little pigtail hose on the "nozzle". For replacement parts, I recommend NOT going through Mytee. The reason I say that is the shipping on that little 8 inch hos was over $30. The part was around $8. They say it was the "handling". I guess everyone needs money......
I also have a Mytee HP60 Spyder and its great ! It heats the water internally but I always start with 3 gallons of hot water in the tank to get it going. I bought it from these guys in San Antonio, Texas, and it has been great. I have not heard any negatives from the Mytee 8070. Believe its a little smaller than mine and the water lift might not be as high as the HP60, but its still a great, reliable machine. Good Luck with your project ! Dan F
I have a Mytee Lite ( the original one ). Its about 10 years old. I had another Mytee before that. Both have turned out to be bulletproof. My only recommendation would be to make sure the solution/recovery tanks are at least 6 gallons. Anything smaller than that and you'll be constantly emptying the dirty water during the job.
For my requirements, even with really dirty carpets, I have never added any cleaning products to my water tank. Instead, I spray the carpets, mats, etc., with either Meguiars APC+ which is low foaming, or sometimes I get better results out of Meguiars Quick Out Carpet Stain Remover; I have a couple of different size brushes I use to work the soap into the carpet, and then shoot the hot water into the carpet/ extract it out. I try not to use so much cleaner that I have a lot of foam to deal with, and if I accidently use too much soap, I will add a little bit of Isopropol alcohol to the water tank, just a little bit, and it breaks the surface tension of the water enough to keep the foam from forming very much You are right to be thinking about this, as foam returning to the recovery tank does not do any good to help cool the 3 motors in the HP60 Spyder. There are probably chemicals out there that help keep the water from foaming and all, but I really didnt want to take the time to look for them and then decide if this product is going to affect the rinsing of the carpets, cloth seats, etc., and possibly leave something behind, etc.. What I try to do each time, is to use the minimum amount of cleaner and water possible, so that there is as little foam as possible, and I dont have to spend a lot more time extracting it out. If you happen to live where the sun shines alot and its warm alot, then you can probably get away with more water/soap, etc., because you know the ambient temps and sun are going to help dry the carpets faster. Here where I live, our warm weather is not very warm and fleeting at best, so I have to adjust for that.. I also use an Air Mover. the same big fans that the carpet cleaners use that lay on the floor and direct air directly above the carpet, and set it up on a rolling cart and blow air inside interiors for several hours, on jobs that have a lot of carpet that I want to dry faster, etc.. I am sure there are a lot of other ways to do this - and I look forward to reading them; this is just what I do, and its been working fine for me for a few years now. DanF

I read that the Mytee Lite has an inline heater. Does that mean the tank of water doesn't heat up, so the water just gets heated as it flows through the heater on its way out? If so, can it keep up with the demand of cleaning an entire car interior?
Yes, and you will feel it if you touch the conector it's hot. I love mine, small unit 3 gallon tanks decent lift for the money.
That is correct. What I do is after filling the water tank, turn the pump on and set the nozzle so its spraying back into the water tank. Use a piece of velcro to hold the trigger on. This will allow the water in the tank to "cycle" though the inline heater and back into the tank. It'll take about 15 minutes but it will heat up the water in the tank quite nicely so you'll never run out of hot water.
