no joke........ my neigbors dog peed on my wheel about a week ago, and the NERO was gone.

I really prefer CG VRT, its inexpensive, and really repels water (maybe dog pee too) and lasts

Zaino Z-16 lasts through a few rains up here, the finish is nice and not greasy, shiny, etc...
Tried Opti-bond and dont like it at all. its thick like a lotion, and does not seem to do much good or look as good.
Recently tried Tuf-Shine on my Grand Cherokee tires, and had to wash them 3 times with their cleaner to get all the junk off which was Z16 and Opti-bond. Im thinking the Opti-bond was the greasy stuff.
Will let you know know long this new product, Tuf=Shine lasts. It is a liquid, could be sprayed, but I used the sponge and it was challenging on these Goodyear Fortera rain and snow rough edged sidewalls, but I got it on there ok.

These are the following I have used or use on a consistent basis.
Optimum opti bond - I apply it with my wagner control sprayer HVLP gun and this helps get in all the tiny nooks in crannies of the tires. then i follow with a foam spone to even it out. Works great this way, can adjust dilution for shine preference.
PB bold and bright - really like this, leaves a glossy but not wet or greasy look. add additional coats for higher gloss.
Carpro perl - just starting using this on some customers cars. so far so good, had a couple types of rubber that it seemed to act a little different but no real issues (this can also happen with alot of dressings)
Adams super vrt - pretty minimal in shine but a good product to have for other trim and such.
Pro Blue Ice Tire and Trim gel - even though this is from a company that is really more of a "volume shop" type supplier it is really a GREAT product, probably one of my favorites. It a blue gel that goes on clear, goes on so easy with foam applicator and really looks perfect to my eyes. Can always post a picture of tires dressed with this product if anyone is interested.

edited for my personal response, this is really the case, in light rain the NERO will stay put but if its a real monsoon or heavy rain, it will go away much faster, SVRT is one of my next buys.

For me, it depended on what the client wanted.

Matte, Griots tire dye. lasts about 6 months in seattle NO GLOSS at all

Semi gloss, 1z tepephlinger (sp) gel. Mike at 1z was generous enough to set me up with some.

    High gloss optimum tire bond.

SCG Beyond Black Tire Pro. I remember buying it online and trying it and being completely blown away at how dry to the touch it was. Love the stuff.

I have and use and it looks and performs well . I apply it then wipe off any excess after 10 minutes or you will get some sling. My favorites are Adam's SVRT ,,Prima Nero ,Zaino Z16

I have read that someone else likes making this concotion. What do you like out of that mixture instead of just by themselves?

I like optibond. It looks just right when applied sparingly. I agree it is thick and can get greasy if applied heavily though.

Well, I used Bold N' Brite gets another thumbs up from me. I used it for the first time yesterday and without removing too much crap from a brown tire with my APC, 2 layers made the tires look stellar! I'm going to have to give the DP another try since the last time I was rushed and maybe give the AG another shot as well since some of you seem to like it.

Only reason why I did this was because showroom fx, to me, is missing a slight bit of gloss and opti tirebond is too glossy.
So adding the two together yielded a tire shine that in the middle of matte and slightly glossy. Hard to explain but I've been using it for awhile now, love it.

I have to agree with this statement. The SCG Beyond Black is by far the best OTC tire dressing I have ever used. I also like Opti-Bond.
