So i detailed my friends new 135 today, applied opti seal after cleansing the paint with dodo juice lime prime, let it sit for about 2hrs, then applied a coat of rainforest rub.

after buffing off the nuba, the surface felt silky and slick. About 20-30min later, i went to buff the surface one last time, and i noticed the surface became somewhat gritty (like it wasnt clayed).

was this due to the opti-seal not curing in time and the wax not bonding properly? never seen this happen before. any comments/help would be appreciated!

Probably, rule of thumb for sealant is to leave it 12-24 hours before applying anything else on top of it, since you already have both sealant and nuba, why don't you try to leave some time interval.... a bit of waiting is good for the final result

could be optiseal not allowing the wax to bond properly.
I believe from some previous post that if you do opti seal ontop of wax, it will sink underneath the wax

yea, unfortunately he didnt have the time to let it cure for 12hrs+

guessing it is just a bonding issue.

what about the glazing oils in the Dodo lime prime. the OS might not like them
